Just a word of caution for those considering the ESS Supercharger kit. ESS is now sending these kits with cast aluminum components. Their website still states that the brackets, supercharger case, and T-stat extension are Billet Aluminum, but they are not. However, the price remians the same even though they cut costs and quality.
Yep, that’s how my kit came. I would of liked the black blower bracket that said ESS on it, instead of the raw aluminum look. But the quality of the kit and reliability is good. Welcome to Bidennomics…

I have been running the OG G3 cast impeller with G3 intercooler on the 100mm pulley (1,000 rwhp) for 2 years now. Ken, Chris and Daryle made it right. No issues after 2 years of gapping everything on the streets in Birmingham 😀 ESS cast impeller is perfect.

Yeah kinda hit and miss with 93 around here. I run 4oz of boostane with every full tank. Car was tuned for 16 degrees of timing, but obviously if the fuel is not up to par It kicks out timing…why sacrifice 80-100 horsepower when you can add a little insurance.

Awesome video, these coyote engines are so capable. Not surprised you were able to get 700 with the ESS blower. Did you replace the oil pump gears with stronger ones?
@@ynotgarage1698 Drag racing itself doesn't hurt the OPG's. The reason the stock OPG's break is due to two things. One is hitting the rev limiter, and the other is using a two-step. Avoid those two things at the track and you're golden!

@rileyneufeld7001 I don't use a 2step and I don't hit Rev limiters so I wouldn't fool with opg myself if I had a blown coyote. I have a 750 rwhp 07 gt500 with a gen3r. Nothing like a high hp manual especially when tq is over 700 at the tires from 3000-5500 it's a street rocket.
So to clarify for future, the G3 (One I'm running in my 1000whp setup at 17psi) is suited for the 100mm pulley and up. G3X is for 95mm and below for those higher revolutions and can get you to 1100 hp max! Thats where the G4 would come in for more hp if needed.
Yep pretty much, the G3 cast impeller is good for 800 to the tire. Ken doesn’t recommend going smaller than the 120 pulley on pump gas. You can go smaller if running e85

They actually had my car on the G2, 110mm pulley, 95lb injectors on 91 and boostane. Made 720whp. My G3 current car makes 1000 to the wheels currently on the 100mm and E85. Just trying to help with accurate info for everyone. If you're not on my ESS page yet come over. Lots of shops and guys on it currently for help, support and info brother.

Are you worried about your cats getting too hot and failing? It can be catastrophic for engine failure. I’m going to be installing the same kits soon and have kooks headers with green cats. Still hesitant if I’m keeping them or pulling them off. Also has stock 3.55 gears and not sure if 3.73 will make much difference. What’s your opinion? Was thinking about 4.09s.
I’m not too concerned about cat over temp. I had that conversation with the tuner on the cats. He said even going with the green cats you’ll still have over temp. I know I’m not taking cats off, I’ve been there regular pump gas smells. If I was doing e85 it would be fine without cats. I have 3.73’s in mine, love them in the car. I think 4.09’s would be too much in my opinion with the blower, but that’s my opinion.
@@cmitchen53 yes I am, stock cats. When I made the 660 to the tire on my video, the car had 93 octane in but the car wasn’t happy. I normally always run Shell 93, but we had to run gas from Marathon 👎 Since I’ve been home I’ve been running boostane (Professional). 4oz per full tank. Tuner said that amount would change any low octane 93, to between 94-96. So I put that in the tank now the car should see 16 degrees, that was programmed in the tune for max timing. I can tell you with my butt dyno, that the car feels like it’s making more…👍👍👍
buying a g2 kit and running about 6-7 psi. if i was to keep my stock pp1 wheels is there a tire that would be able to handle rollers without killing me? just looking for around 500-600hp and only street driving no track or drag.
I changed the car when it was new to Mobil 1 5w-30. Always ran stock plugs until the supercharger install. Then I went with 5w-50, and then changed plugs to a colder plug.
If I told you, you wouldn’t believe me lol. I took the 3.55’s out and installed 3.73’s. At 75 on the highway I get 26-27 mpg. Don’t know in town I don’t pay attention.

Not ready to do a fuel system yet, also put a new set of gt 500’s injectors in. Not enough for e85, I knew that when I did the build. Drive the car on cruises a lot…e85 not available where we go. Car made plenty of power on 93 octane

Gt 350 replica wheels from LMR, 19x10 in front, 19x11 in rear. Nitto 285/35/19 front, Nitto 315/35/19 rear. Not sure off hand back spacing? But they fit perfectly
Highly suggest sticking with a good 5w30 synthetic oil such as PUP especially since sticking with stock OPGs. 5w50 if tracking hard only. 5w50 is a cya move by dealers, not best for the car in the long run. Ceretec treatment is plus also.

Still do in our Expedition, Maxima, and Altima...But when Hennessey broke the mustang speed record with a boosted mustang with 5w30 PUP (meaning they trusted that oil) , our two Stangs - 2020 boosted 5.0 & 2014 full bolt on 5.0 run only PUP + Ceretec treatment. My 2020 had the "tick"... PUP 5w30 solved it.
I don’t beat on the car, just like the power of rolling into it. Car is very linear, that’s why I did this kit. Don’t want all of the power and torque down low using a whipple where I’ll never use it. It will never be a drag car.

I run the nitto 555 series tire, it’s not a bad tire. Any performance tire will be ok for ya at that hp.
What spark plugs did you go with and you change the oil viscosity of the motor to 5w30? Did I hear that right? Thanks

That is stupid as hell. Not every person who owns a mustang is a young punk who revs up in traffic and hits things. Some people have sense and can actually drive. Good job showing classic stereotyping. I don't have a newer 5.0 I have an 07 gt500 with a gen3r pushing 750 wheel but you can't assume every newer mustang owner is a young punk who can't drive. I've seen just as many young punks in Chevys or dodges than newer mustangs. People just love to hate on Ford.
