I live in Lebanon Missouri but am from northern California where my sister still lives. To keep us close and entertained we watch garden videos and talk several times a week about what we see and what plants we bought or want. She got me watching Garden Answer, then Dig, Plant, Water, Repeat, where we found you. We love the two of you together so much and you guys bring us such joy, like watching old friends. We hope you keep sharing your garden life with us, and that you and Brent get to buy the property you shared to start a cut flower farm/event venue. And we hope you get nicer neighbors this time!
I used the stakes this year for my first time planting. It made me want to invent my own. If I ever do, they will certainly be green. Until then, I would spray paint mine with flat green paint.
Wow, amazing. I grew dahlias for the first time this year. “Dinner Plate”, but they are more like salad plate dahlias, lol. They make gorgeous centerpieces. I’m in love.
I too love the dark maroon dahlias. This year I planted cafe au lait again as they are my absolute favourites! Thank you for the tour :) Have a happy day!
They had that dark maroon dahlia, you like. I managed to propagate from a cutting I took from a garden across the road, last spring/summer. It has produced 3 small tubers and its a good long and strong stemmed dahlia. Still don't know it's name yet but it's a beauty. I've also stopped at another garden and asked if I could remove some of the dead heads, so I've now got a collection of seeds to experiment with. Looking forward to summer, if we actually have one this year. Thanks for showing us such a special place with magical gardens.
Good morning, thank you for sharing your trip with us. I have a question though, would it be possible to paint those tomatoe cages to blend in with the green leaves?? Or would the paint be harmful to the plants??

Thank you, for sharing your trip. Beautiful flowers.
Beautiful! So many dahlias. ❤
Rather than ‘eye poking’ stakes tomato cage is a perfect idea to hold them upright! Loved this tour!❤❤❤❤

All you have to do is buy the green ones. I like to buy the silver and spray paint them a rust colour to match my obelisks already in my yard.
❤❤❤
Hard to pick a fav dahlia!
Are you using your new camera? Video looks great!
