Full Metal alchemist is just too good that both versions were on the list. Plus that Nina chimera scenes were the most saddest disturbing scene ever and it just Intensifies when you get older and become a father.
Even without Ash and Team Rocket, Pokemon Horizons is still awesome. I hope more people will give it a chance

the manhwa is peak but that first season was overhyped… it gave me high expectations that failed but still gave the manhwa a chance so i see it deserving the hype after that first season.

Dragon Ball Super during 2017/18 was legit the most viewed, especially during Tournament of Power. As for this year, i don't think that anything can beat Solo Leveling. Finished the manwha and i can't wait some of the fights to be animated!

One piece in 2023 might be the biggest year for a manga/anime franchise. Was kinda insane with all the stuff it had going on
Pokemon for 2022 as well. That final battle with Leon is gonna be written in the history books
This video is all based on the first year the series started with a couple of caveats for remakes like Hunter X Hunter and Fullmetal Alchemist. One Piece would've been the choice if they included 1999.

Solo Leveling is an incredible anime and deserves all the hype.
I am relatively new to the anime world. I started with Death Note last year because of a random suggestion followed by crying my eyes out for AOT this year. Currently, I am obsessed with Gojo Saturo. Will be definitely coming back here for more recommendations.

2006 was giga banger, Gintama- death note, code geass, fate stay night, higurashi, suzumiya and so on
The storytelling of Deathnote is goated, and Kimetsu No Yaiba had the most artistic battles and settings.
One Punch Man is the most rewatchable anime in my opinion... it just never gets old!
Naruto,Bleech, attack on Titan,demon slayer,jujutsu kaisen and chainsaw man are my favourite animes

You have Black Clover for 2017 and Slime for 2018 but I still remember Dragon Ball Super being the most over anime during those two years due to the Universe Survival arc. Even people who didn't watch a lot of anime watched Dragon Ball Super during that period.
As for this year, I agree with Solo Leveling. Just finished it and it is the best anime this year so far.

Currently, my favorite is Attack on Titan, then Naruto, then probably Jujutsu Kaisen. Solo Leveling is definitely one of the best. Demon Slayer is also really good. Just watched I want to eat your pancreas… loved it, but probably won’t watch it again.
A lot of people seem to not know Hunter X Hunter's manga released in 1998 and that there was a 1999 anime series as well.
So what the narrator says about HxH being an answer to the shounen genre becoming stale... HxH was already ahead of its time at the end of the 90s, right before the Naruto manga even dropped and the Naruto anime even aired.
While that's true and I contemplated commenting about it, the narrator did specifically mention "the second attempt at adapting Hunter X Hunter."

There are so many errors with this list! That’s unforgivable!!!!! Firstly, the most popular anime in 2008 is Toradora, 2011 is Steins;Gate, 2014 is Tokyo Ghoul, 2017 is AOT Season 2, 2018 is AOT S3, 2021 is AOT Final Season, 2022 is Spy X Family, 2023 is Jujutsu Kaisen 2nd Season. Some of the suggestions I’m putting up here arguable but definitely at least they’re more right in comparison from what’s mentioned.
Fun Fact: The creator of Shaman King Hiroyuki Takei did a Manga Series with Stan Lee. Karikuri Doji Ultimo.
Fun Fact number 2: There’s actually a theory that one of the characters in either Angel Beats or Corpse Parade is Light from Death Note because this character is frequently just laying sprawled out on the stairs in the same pose that Light was in when he died.

I love Yu-Gi-Oh but the anime of the year for 2000 for me is Pokemon. The show was still rolling and going wild and is still kicking butt today. It had a hit movie in 2000 as well and Pokemon was still going crazy with the cards and games being hot commodities.
This is purely based on the first year of the series. Pokemon started in 1997 so it wouldn't qualify.

@@Trekapedia They might not have explicitly said it but if you look at the list that's pretty clearly what they did. Every one of the anime they listed was in its first year, they didn't have any later seasons of anime even if they had different names, etc.

I have to say this real quick about the full metal alchemist. Being here the only reason they didn't follow the full manga in the first series was because it wasn't finished yet. an the mangaka gave them the permission to write their own ending for the first Series.

Yu-Gi-Oh! was not only one of The Greatest Anime's of the 2000 but unarguably one The Greatest Card Games ever created.
I still have my Yu-Gi-Oh deck. My deck is a mix of different types of cards including the Crystal beasts and a Ghost Rare Holographic Rainbow Dragon.
What I find weird is a lot of early 2000s anime didn't really follow the source material and that resulted in animes being remade. (HxH, FMAB and bleach should get a remake because the first 100 episodes had Kubo pulling his hair out)
Black Clover is my favorite on this list, however Frieren and Jujutsu Kaisen are awesome too

I’ll be in the proud minority to say that Food Wars is the superior 2015 anime over One Punch Man. Hopefully we get a live action version of Food Wars in the future.

I wonder what sources they used for this. Not including dragon ball super is egregious. Its viewership numbers and records reigned over other anime for 2 years in LATAM alone
It seemed like, aside from full remakes (HxH and FMA), they just used the year the initial anime came out. Dragon Ball Super wasn't a new series, it was a new season of an existing series. There were other series that had new seasons with different titles come out that were arguably more popular than the listed one (first thing that comes to mind is Naruto Shippuden in 2007 likely being more popular than Gurren Lagann).
