Yeah.... no. If his partner treated people like that, I wouldn't only not warn him, but I'd have already reported him to my superiors for excessive force. The police are there to protect and serve, not bully and abuse.
I’m a Miami fan. Two things are obvious. 1) The cop was out of control. 2) Reek should have done as instructed. If he were speeding at what’s being reported (in town)…that’s putting every innocent person around him (other drivers and pedestrians) in significant risk of injury or potentially death. As to the police officer, if this is how he conducts himself regularly, then this isn’t the job he needs to be doing. No reason for that level of aggressiveness.

This isn't a black or white thing. Scottie Scheffler was treated the same way, only he wasn't even speeding and an officer made a free will choice to throw himself onto Scheffler's car. The Louisville PD initially even tried to make it seem like Scheffler comitted vehicular assault because said officer ripped his pants. And unlike Tyreek, Scheffler was even jailed for a minute.
I’m sorry but everything tyreek did was wrong, in fact I’ll show my kids this video on how not to act when you get pulled over. Well, first, that Union statement was nothing more than police jargon 101. Words and phrases like: redirected to the ground, uncooperative, pursuant to policy, for officer safety, obey a lawful command, blah, blah, blah. Maybe they should have waited until after the body cam footage. Nothing, absolutely nothing Reek did warranted what happened. If he was "driving in a manner that was dangerous" he should have been cited for Reckless driving. But he wasn't. Cited for careless driving and not wearing a seat belt. Basically, one cop felt disrespected and took it out the way he normally does.
Tobin you couldn’t be more wrong, once again Hill shows you who he really is, it’s always about him. Many people are agitated when stopped for traffic citation. Many people react rudely. Many people make jokes...NOT ILLEGAL. Cops, you're not the overseers on the plantation so just relax.
It is our responsibility in a traffic stop to make our police feel safe and comply to their commands because they have all the power. If you want to take their behavior to court that’s our right. But making it more difficult is a lose lose situation. This can cause to situations like this where they have “a reason” to do this.
LMFAO. No, it's not. COurts have ruled that officers are under no obligation to protect citizens. You really think its our responsibility to make sure they "feel" safe? Don't choke on that boot.
@@pobregringo88 IDK about you, but if I'm a cop and suspect the driver I just pulled over has a weapon, my response would NOT be to yank him out of the vehicle, for the same reason you don't go charging full speed at someone who has a gun. The response by police union was boring and childish. Technically they are correct. Who cares? Thank you for pointing out that these cops were on a nasty mission with very little maturity and thought other than domination which may come from fear. Nasty. Even the tone “why u driving without ur seatbelt”. They need to go watch the original Road House. First rule of engagement. Be Nice.
The fact that the dept released a statement standing behind the officer’s actions is digusting. They can’t be serious. Literally yanking him out of the car and throwing him to the ground for not rolling his window all the way down, that’s what they stand behind… forcing him to the ground a second time because he couldn’t immediately sit and then pushing him after he was sitting handcuffed. Cursing at him and verbally abusing him is also something they stand behind as well. What trash.
I will say I'm usually on the side of the cops, you know follow their directions and what not. But these cops were way over board and they escalated the situation. That one cop in particular should be fired and charged with assault.
They could have given him three tickets and told him to go about his day. He said I’m getting out. Then the cop just jerked him out the car and then to the ground. That is over board.
Typical south miami police/HWP behavior! Always Aggression first. They need to implement certain exercises that are used in the military to stay calm and treat individuals as citizens/humans.
first off, cops escalated something that didn't need to be. i think the cops should always try to deescalate. the cop defense is that hill technically did refuse to comply. this wasn't a checkpoint. he is required to comply with officer demands, including opening window, including exiting vehicle. this guy got a bit excited, obviously, and again, i do think the cop was in the wrong overall here. you refuse lawful demands from a cop and you are gonna get them fired up. research or talk with a lawyer before flexing your "rights". you can always choose to not comply, but you also subject yourself to arrest. if that happens don't complain, you did it for yourself. if you get pulled over for speeding, and refuse demands, you can also be detained. so let's not get confused with cops on a power trip with what your rights are in a situation like this.
Man shut this stupid line up.. who gives a fk.. a cop has lawful use of force and backuo all the way up to a military response starting at the national guard. As a civilian you are much less protected
Have you ever been pulled over by an over the top cop as a black man a few times 🤷🏾♂️. I have a few times for no reason. When a cop on the edge they are looking for anything it is frightening and humiliating
(Edit: Just saw the cop physically attacked Tyree by punching him in the jaw). Interesting, I was wondering what opinion you would have. I think both are wrong in certain ways. Hill didn’t comply with police orders, just taking your sweet old time & rolling up 100% tinted windows after being asked to roll them down & then step out isn’t complying with orders even if you say “yeah ok” & continue to not comply. When the law requires you to do something, it’s now… Not when you feel like & that’s something you learn in life whether you’re dealing with your boss at work… Most jobs anyway 😆 … or a cop on the street. That’s just life & you have to have respect for the law. Although I don’t know what exceptions exist for celebrities but there’s some wrong with how the officer behaved him self & addressed Mr. Hill which was disrespectful. Screaming & knocking on the window but then he does have good reason when someone has tinted windows & doesn’t bring them down upon being stopped. The problem here is how quick that cop turns from 1 to 100. 💯 anger & zero patience. But Bottom line, the cops asked him to produce or to do something. You didn’t immediately do upon being asked so they had to remove him from the car by force. The really fucked up part is the fact he gets attacked & on that matter, that officer needs to get terminated.
Hey man, Leroy said it all yesterday. There's a reason why some people think the police treat "certain" people differently... Even if it was just this cop having a bad day, there's no excuse. They're supposed to be professional.

These comments are just crazy, you do realize that at the beginning of the video the reason the officer pulled over Reek was because he was speeding in an out of traffic like did you watch the video. Then the window down argument, look at the tints on his windows, if you have just pulled over a vehicle for speeding in an out of traffic, and obviously don't know who the person is, immediately receive confrontation by the person you pulled over, the windows are tinted and you can't see into the vehicle to see what the person is doing clearly and tell them to leave the window down and the person keeps telling you no, what do you expect to be the reaction you receive. Its escalation on reeks side and escalation on the officer's side, neither is in the right in the situation, however reek absolutely had the opportunity to de-escalate, keep the window down, get through the traffic stop and move on. De-escalation is not a one-way street the same way that we should demand that officers de-escalate it is also upon the individual to respond in kind. This whole well the officer is wrong, and reek is right, or reek is wrong, and the office is right, they both screwed up what should be a simple stop and neither the Miami PD nor Reek should be proud of their actions.
Where is the proof of this “crazy driving and speeding” people keep commenting? Watched the body cam multiple times and never heard the cops even say why he was pulled over. This started going around before any evidence whatsoever came out; it’s just starting to sound like an excuse to cover tracks for being caught with bad action. Is Reek a great dude or is it unbelievable for him to drive crazy? Nah, but him being a dumb jerk doesn’t warrant this level of force. Those cops had ZERO restraint, there’s no excuse for them having a badge or a weapon going forward.
On any given traffic stop after the officer takes your ID and info they don't tell you to keep your window down while they go back to their vehicle to run your info and write your citation. It is extremely common for someone to roll their window back up while the officer is back in their vehicle. Especially if it is very hot or cold outside or raining. So why did this officer have to sit there and hover at Tyreek's window and demand he keep it down for what many people are saying "for his safety". He could've just walked away while the other officer was completing the traffic stop and Tyreek rolling his window back up would've been a moot point.
But until Black people come together, rise up and re-introduced, who is the strongest on this planet, which they already know this kind of thing will remain happening
BLM already did the whole "peaceful protest" thing. All it did was make the problem worse and turn everybody into supporters of police brutality. You fail at life.
Cops got mad because he is in a nice car and he is black. They didn't need to push him to floor and put their knee on him. I had cops do that same thing to me.
Look, the cops went way overboard yes, but you guys are completely ignoring that fact that neither Reek nor Calais would follow any orders by the PD - THAT gets you into trouble. When the cop is in the middle of a traffic stop, those are lawful orders whether you like it or not and while I hope these cops who went too far get punished, I also know that much of this situation turns out differently if these players are more cooperative.

Yanking Hill out of the car the way he did was UTTERLY FUCKING INEXCUSABLE. But, it's typical of TYRANT PIGS, especially with minority motorists. They believe any command they bark better be INSTANTLY obeyed or they're justified in using violent force.

As to the police officer, if this is how he conducts himself regularly, then this isn’t the job he needs to be doing. No reason for that level of aggressiveness.

Ok..look, power trip or not, when are people gonna learn to just do what they are told? Stop arguing with the cops when you were clearly in the wrong. Tyreek was smarting off because the cop knocked on his window..he wasn't exactly cooperating. Yes, the one cop was overly aggressive, and very impatient, but Tyreek didn't help himself one bit.

Throw him to the ground like a drug dealer? Okay, so it’s okay to throw a drug dealer to the ground?….. WTF??
It is our responsibility in a traffic stop to make our police feel safe and comply to their commands because they have all the power. If you want to take their behavior to court that’s our right. But making it more difficult is a lose lose situation. This can cause to situations like this where they have “a reason” to do this.

The cops were jaguars fans and trying to put the fix on the game probably.
first off, cops escalated something that didn't need to be. i think the cops should always try to deescalate. the cop defense is that hill technically did refuse to comply. this wasn't a checkpoint. he is required to comply with officer demands, including opening window, including exiting vehicle. this guy got a bit excited, obviously, and again, i do think the cop was in the wrong overall here. you refuse lawful demands from a cop and you are gonna get them fired up. research or talk with a lawyer before flexing your "rights". you can always choose to not comply, but you also subject yourself to arrest. if that happens don't complain, you did it for yourself. if you get pulled over for speeding, and refuse demands, you can also be detained. so let's not get confused with cops on a power trip with what your rights are in a situation like this.
