Hey, Marc, thank you for another cool guide! Since we’ve already got several cool builds, could you please help with a scouting guide as well? I’m d2-d3 and I have hard time interpreting scouting info. Even if I scout something, for example twilight council , I’m still in doubt if it’s for charge, blink or tech to dt/ht.
I know this knowledge comes with practice and experience of playing this race yourself. But if you could share some knowledge of certain markers you scout for and how to react to those, it would be so-so helpful.
we are all in doubt , there is no way to tell in advance what twilight is for
I had the same issue but I think I became better at it. Take notice on what units your opponent is making as well. if you see a twilight and like 3-4 or more stalkers it's safe to say it's a blink opening. If you see a twilight with a robo and like 3-4 adepts it's probably a glaive adept warp prism all-in. If they have a twilight and an early forge it is probably a zealot charge all-in (could be with dts into archons aswell) If you see them make a twilight with robo and they have a suspiciously low amount of units it's probably a proxy dark shrine into dt drop so you might want so think about saving some scans. Also scout for the third base actively to make sure they are not all-inning you or taking a proxy nexus.

I was just trying to say that we can always work on deepening our level of understanding opponents. I know Pros and GMs can only scout for the same markers like units, buildings, bases, but the way they interpret them and react to them may be different or more certain.
So I’m just suggesting an idea for a new guide if Marc is willing to share such tips with his Terran students and has time for it. :) It’s okay if this not a real topic for a separate video. I’m already grateful for the scouting section in the existing guides here. Can’t wait to try them all out.

Thanks , I've been stuck on ladder dealing protoss cheese and since I can't scout for shit, the early Raven and tanks makes me feel super safe. I'm going to learn this and interference colosi and anti armour toss armies

Really nice guide, im trying to transition from zerg dia to terran, still trying my best to learn builds and it also helped me in zerg as well, knowing how to counter these build orders

Hmmm I see that Starport was idling for a relatively long time... Maybe it is possible to squeeze out a Viking to go on observer hunt? Also what if you don't have to build a Hellion? - thats 21 seconds of Factory production time - could it be used for something useful?

Hi Marc. Thanks for another great guide! I have a few quick questions. How would you respond to Disruptor Drops with this build? And what would you do if they go 3+ Colossi so by 8:00 when you're supposed to hit, they have more Colossi than you have interference matrix casts? Should you disable two of the Colossi and then micro your heart out? ie. Still do one big consolidated attack?
Disruptor drops is mostly just a matter of micro and not really build, you would just siege a tank next to each mineral line and spread your marines out pre-emptively. Making depots behind your mineral line against this is good too so they can't drop behind the mineral line and fire the nova inside

I’m an ex-toss (d3) turned Terran (p1) and I find Toss the hardest race to play by far even though I should have some good inside knowledge on them. At my level I find that Toss likes to be aggressive while they expand (slower than macro expand of course) and I’m not sure how to adjust a build like this accordingly. This is exactly how I used to play against Terran but I have no clue how to deal with Toss when they are more aggressive and try to deny my expansions all game long. Any advice on this or a guide for handling this type of game would be greatly appreciated.

How many cyclones do you make vs phoenixes? Do you make earlier turrets?
Just one usually, you have a cyclone and a viking and then once they get more phoenix you add some marines to that group so they cant dive onto it

Uthermal, please upload your builds to spawning tool so we can get the timings perfect without having to scrub through videos and ask questions about some of the blindspots in your videos
