Fun fact, the red giant star Beetlejucie in the constellation of Orion may have already gone supernova but because of the distance between us the light from that hasn't reached our eyes yet. Therefore we still see it as a red giant when in reality it may have already exploded. Going back to your point that it takes 8min. for the Sun's light to reach earth, when we stare up and look at the sun (which I dont recommend lol) we are acually looking 8mins. into the past...amazing and wonderful stuff!!

    Hey Tibees!
    Great video, very relaxing indeed!
I was watching some Elon Musk interviews and he attributes a lot of his success to physics and what he calls
"reasoning from first principles." He applies this technique to every problem he encounters and it seems like it helps him solve these sort of impossible tasks effortlessly. This seems like a very interesting technique you being a physicist could you maybe make a video explaining this.
    Thank you very much!

Thanks for sharing this, I play this game too, and also find it relaxing to just set it up like a screensaver and watch the planets revolve around the Sun, which is so cool to watch while the inner planets race at breakneck speed while Neptune and Uranus stroll leisurely along thier orbits and every so oftern Pluto mmakes and appearance. It puts thing into perspective for me when the state of world affairs becomes too much. I would like to ask if you have had time to work with it enough to help me with something about using the program, which I did try to ask the Universe Sandbox support but never got a response. I would like to use it to explore the first milisecong of the Big Bang and inputs values related to quantum bifurcation in plank time, but have found no way to do this. I know that may be overeaching, but thought that you might have an idea how I might set it up to do this ( or anyone else here know ... anyone really expert with the program? ). Also when Andromeda and the Milky Way merge will the gravitalltion tides not rip our solar system to sherds, regardless of stars colliding?
thanks fo any advice at all.

Coincidentally, about 4 billion years from now Sol will expand to a red giant (I think) and absorb the orbit of the Earth. Will the Earth even be habitable when Andromeda merges.
Also the dark patches of the Milky Way are obscuring dust clouds. Andromeda probably has dust as well. How will this dust alter the view of the merge? PHD topic maybe?

Try SpaceEngine, it's far better than Universe Sandbox for just exploring, you can land on every single object in high detail, and the universe is in real scale. That's right, there's hundreds of billions of galaxies, each with hundreds of billions of star systems, each with planets, moons, asteroids, meteors, etc, and you can get to every single one. You can also travel at 326 million light years per second speed if you want. And it's graphically gorgeous, the whole thing is like art, watch some montages on youtube if you want to see how beautiful it is, it's literally almost photorealistic. The craziest part is, the whole project, despite how unbelievably complex it is, it just done by one guy in Russia.
