Your music is deep without feeling dark. That's a thing that most ambient channels can't seem to pull off. Light music is often shallow and cheap. Deep music often has dark, depressing undertones. This is the sweet spot. It really is great.
Thank you! I agree, I enjoy making the dark stuff as well but there is a lot of it already and I enjoy creating music with more beautiful emotions the most anyways :)
@@Futurescapes-SciFiAmbience i'd like to hear the dark stuff, that's what I was hoping to find here. Dark, depressing and sad can be emotional and beautiful too
Ya I find a lot of beauty in the sad and somber side especially when it comes to story telling. Try some of my videos like Abstraction, post Human, Whiteout, Control, Intertia, and Outpost Theta. Those are some of the darker ones :)
The air is crisp, fog-kissed by sun's rays. Silence exists, yet these plants still speak. "Look beyond you, and journey away. Embrace the dawn, learn what you see." I now go forth, into this new day. Sustained by friends, Juniper Berries. *Great track! It certainly invokes a poetic calmness. Thank you!
Following his wrist tracer, Captain Wallace pushed through the last of the violet underbrush of the alien forest and stepped into a clearing filled with brown grasses and tall stalks of deep azure berries. There it loomed before him in the mists, still hundreds of meters away, the massive Orinsaka egg. The mother beast lay sleeping in the meadow as well and could have easily been mistaken for a large hill in the distance if not for his environment scans. Walking cautiously forward, Wallace plucked a berry and squeezed it between his fingers, its sticky, steaming juices draining into his palm. He mused how nice it would be to simply do the same to the egg, but as he nervously watched the hill to his right, he knew he might be the berry instead.
@@Futurescapes-SciFiAmbience Yeah, I knew it was supposed to be a planet on the horizon, but it looked closer than that to me, so an egg came to mind, lol. Why not. This track is amazing, by the way. Super complex with all sorts of subtle motifs running throughout. Been listening to it all day. Great stuff, man. Nice little poem too!
The main image looks like a scene from that wonderful 2018 sci fi movie, Prospect. I can already see them walking in their spacesuits on the planet. This music is great to accompany their journey.
This artwork has the perfect blend of familiar & alien to be really believable. It would have been so cool to be born in an era of space travel & exploration
🎧🎶👨🏽🚀🚀🌌 you’re my favorite ambient vibes channel. I’m so glad i found you. Every video is better than the one before, and they’re all awesome. These mixes are slow waves of rest & peace that keep me chill and relaxed throughout my work day. Thanks for everything mate. 🤟🏼😎✌🏼🍻
That's so good to hear :) Glad to have you in the Futurescapes community and so happy you're enjoying everything and that it's helping you in daily life!
Comment for the algo! Another tasty track, and fantastic thumbnail. Like another user said in the comments, definitely the best ambient TH-cam channel.
This video is mesmerizing and deeply calming. The ambient sci-fi soundscapes create an ethereal experience, perfect for relaxation, meditation, or even creative thinking. The combination of serene tones and space-inspired themes gives the feeling of floating through the cosmos, offering both peace and inspiration. It's a fantastic choice for anyone looking to unwind and explore the beauty of sound in a futuristic and tranquil setting. Truly a beautiful journey for the mind!
Today, I did extremely well on my minerology midterm. I think I got an A, in a class commonly called the "Weed out class" by geology majors for its sheer difficulty. I would like to thank you for your "Outpost Theta" video. I ran that thing damn near nonstop for a week studying. Tonight, I will listen to this and prep for my next midterm in calculus. I know I will do well, because you assist in creating the space to do so. Thank you again.
Man, that's so good to hear! Exactly the kind of reason I make this music, to inspire and help people :) All the best on your next exam! Futurescapes will be here to help you study :D

Am in the middle of going through all your videos. They help me focus and are perfect as background music for graphic design work! A few questions to you if you don't mind answering: 1) What DAW do you use? - I'd love to know what kitchen you use to cook up these amazing tracks. 2) Do you come up with a story and then compose to it? or compose to a theme? 3) Any preferred plugins? Context: I occasionally make music and was curious. I'm a big fan of Sci-Fi content and am very happy to have found your channel. Thanks for all the amazing content, Cheers!👍 Some of my favorite tracks so far: Pathos, Feulle Morte, Alpha Array, Alone, The Spire and Stardust.
Oh no..."Livid" means angry. I sure hope you're not mad! Unless maybe you're mad that it took you so long to find it. ;) Interestingly, it can also mean dark bluish grey as in Livid Bruises.
Awesome, so glad you're enjoying the channel! I use Logic Pro. I has it's limitations but I'm super comfortable with it and it has become second nature :) I usually write the actual description story last, though I always have ideas of where I want to go with it. Sometimes I have the image first and make the music to match, other times I make the music first and match it to the image to see what fits best. All along the way thinking of the story/concept. And sometimes it's planned right from the start, other times I figure it out along the way. And with descriptions it also sometimes depends how I feel in the moment. Like this one Juniper I just felt like doing something short and simple :) I have a pretty massive library of VSTs and FX haha stuff from Synapse, U-He, Spitfire, Native Instruments, Heavyocity, Cinematic Studio, Valhalla, Soundtoys, Baby Audio, and a lot more haha go-to's for Futurescapes though are Dune 3 and Obsession from Synapse, Diva from U-He, Valhalla Supermassive, LOVE by Dawesome, Spaced Out by Baby Audio. Then many more and of course all the plugins I use for mixing. Hopefully that gives you some stuff to look into! Thanks for asking about everything, glad to have you in the Futurescapes community :)
Haha ya I figured no anger was meant with the positive comment hehe didn't know that about the meaning though! I should use that in Futurescapes titles or descriptions sometime :D
Thanks! It will be available on my Bandcamp page soon as bonus content with the music, just recovering from an injury and need to catch up on my Bandcamp releases :)
