I was disappointed when he couldn't perform at his peak level while as a Laker. He was still a star on Lakers, but imagine if he shot 47% from three line for the season while playing for Lakers!
I loved this format back then when you had the split screen, and legendary coaches and analysts like Hubie Brown and Doug Collins watching each of their individual shooters. This was one of the more memorable all-star weekends and 3 point shootouts from my childhood. Thanks for posting this! Great memories!
@@elbolsillo LOL yea it truly was fun back then. I remember I used to have a schedule that I got out of a magazine that had a list of all the nationally televised games. I remember putting it on my wall and watching every single game I could. Sucks that we have to get older somtletimes lol.
I love how nobody in the entire broadcast team can be bothered to mention the winner of the competition the previous 2 years...and one of the best shooters in NBA history...Mark Price.
Mark Price maybe just the best overall pure shooter ever 2-25ft & back in. In terms of greatest deep-3 shooter ever, it's Stephen Curry. In terms of %ages, it's Steve Kerr, but when was there ever a hand in Kerr's face? Kerr maybe the best set-shooter ever. But just overall shooter, open/guarded, 3-pt, mid range pull up, runner, lay-ups (left & right-handed both), finger rolls, catch-&-shoot, being pure from every which distance 3-pt & in, off the backboard from the diagonals mid range & in, corners & up top straight in, and the whole 9-yards; it's Mark Price more than anyone that at least I can think of who I've ever watched, stats & naked-eye test combined.
I just looked it up lol. He did NOT win a 3pt contest. Wikipedia described it as “surprisingly,” even. He did lose twice in the final round though. I’d call that a FFF in my book! A fun f*****g fact!
Dana Baros had 15 and they gave him 9 - if the moneyball on his second rack was an air ball he still woulda had 13 but i think he made the second moneyball
My favorite player ever Glen Rice
Mine too! How cool is that! Never heard anyone saying that! ;) I love his style. I think he's underrated. What do you think?
@@druemcee he is underrated and good player
Aka Glen Robinson

Thank you for making this available!

Same man. NBA was so fun to follow. Watching Inside Stuff on Saturday mornings with Ahmad Rashad lol. Good times as a kid

Thank you so much for this! I used to have every one of these from 1993 through 2008 on VHS. This is a very, very important part of my childhood.
Scott Burrell was a great contributor to the 98 Bulls squad, particularly when Pippen was out with injury.
The gud old times 3 point shootout
One of The best all time 3pt contest in nba history
Shaq & Penny knew the winner all along u saw them laughing at the end.Rice torched them for 56 points earlier in the year 🤑
I love how nobody in the entire broadcast team can be bothered to mention the winner of the competition the previous 2 years...and one of the best shooters in NBA history...Mark Price.
One of them mentioned him just after 6:02, but I think he called him “Steve”.
Mark went back 2 back and was a BEAST for the Cavs franchise
Thank you so much for posting this, Shiravat!!! It really brings back good memories from my childhood. I really appreciate it!
Steve Kerr looked like a high school math teacher than a professional basketball player.
He was able to compete because of Presidents Day break lol
Also just realized that was from 3 years ago. Hope you’re still alive bud!
Rice and Miller one of the best 3pt shooter in the History of NBA
As well as Kerr
+Giuliano Frizzo Mark Price(Cavs) is the best!!

splash brother is the best!
Edify Salim From deep 3 yeah.
The commentators were asleep. They called gpen rice glen robinson and later chuck person. Dopes. Go Heat. Glen Rice classic.
scott burrell was on of the participants in the 1993 yokozuna body slam challenge won by lex luger
Really???
@@jasonelliott7977 Yes indeed. Pretty random for NBA Fans and non Wrestling fans but true
Glen Rice has one of the best releases
Hand releases?
@Tre Of course...duh!!! He can't release the ball without using his hands😒🙄!!!
@@R4Love365 calm down randy
He be in such a rhythm when he shoots
Little did he know, in a couple of months Nick Anderson would go on and missed free throws that destroyed the rest of his career...
Charles: they wouldn’t let me
"Anderson missed 9 out of his last 10 shots." Then he missed all of his 4 freethrows when he needed em most🤣
2000 three point contest is my fav from this era, but this is a close 2nd

Dana Barros had 15 and Glen Rice had 16 in the first round. Only thing I can think of is that they stepped on the line with some of their attempts.
I noticed that too. From 15 to 9 though? That seems like a lot - between 3 and 6 shots, depending on whether or not they were moneyballs.
10:30 he calls him Glenn Robinson
Big Dog should've been in this contest. With the shorter line he may have been a factor.
29:55 Reggie Miller is not able to catch Chuck Person.. they fucked Rice’s name up all night
@@PorkTips I noticed that too. Lol
Fantastic shoots.glen rice was great shooter
Thunder Dan was my favorite because it seemed like he was always 10 feet beyond the arc when shooting a 3.
you look like thunder Dan Lil ugly
I agree! He often shot from way downtown
Like that game winner against the Lakers in a late regular season game. Awesome comeback too
10:30 That is not Glen Robinson lmao
What happened to Mark Price?
Was a shame Mark Price didn't get to defend his back-to-back titles that year.
TRUE SHARPSHOOTER
You’re gd right it was
These was some assassins forget shooters
Man I wish the modern NBA 3 point shootout should be like this
I agree. The coverage of all star weekend in general was so much better back then.
Am I the only one catching on to one of these commentators fighting with Charles?😂 made it awkward at the end
Majerle gotta shoot at a minimum 25ft
10:28 the announcer called Glen Rice by ( Glenn Robinson )
Some flawless announcing here...
"Steve Price" 6:04, meant Mark Price
"Glen Robinson" 10:29 , meant Glen Rice
"Chuck Person" 29:58 , Wow... maybe they just didnt give a damn... yeah... damn, Glen Rice
6:54 yeah pal, we heard ya the first time about how short he’s been all night. Geezus 😂
it's Miller Time! my boy Reggie pulled the Larry Bird in the semi finals! shame he didn't win, but props to Glen Rice
I’ll prob just look it up lol, but did Reggie ever win a 3pt contest? Geez his shot was smooth
I just looked it up lol. He did NOT win a 3pt contest. Wikipedia described it as “surprisingly,” even. He did lose twice in the final round though.
I’d call that a FFF in my book! A fun f*****g fact!
I was 2 going on 3, but I still remember this.
👍🏾😎
when i look at the description and i saw regg and steve i knew it was a good vid
Pobedio je Glen Rise. Gledao sam 1995 Ivane, batice, careeee
And you know Silver wants to retroactively fine Sir Charles for saying the babe ruth shootout was rigged.
was everyone on miami bald back then lmfao
5:28
Steve Kerr with the no look shot
LMAO 30:01 reminded me of the Fat Albert gang for some reason
What the fuck happened to the NBA?!
Jeff Munn is an AZ legend. Great PA voice. #jeffmunn #Suns #dbacks
Heavy Gratitude

burrell shoots like ray allen
Back when the 3 point shootout was a real competition.
And represented by real and efficient shooters.
reggie miller could have won the 3 point contest at the end but glen rice waz the better man at the end wat a contest
Hah, right as Reggie Miller gets eliminated and Glen Rice wins, "Reggie Miller is not able to catch Chuck Pearson."
0:00-0:14.; What was up with all of those clips spliced together?...
Barros made 15 pts and they only gave him 9? WTF?!?
Jerks
He called Glen Rice, Glen Robinson at around 10:40 ...for shame!
King Flea Market funny i literally jist met glen rice
You mean Kevin Martin shoots like Reggie.
Was actually in the crowd!!!
Love Glen, Jabari reminds me of him a little bit.
WHHHHAAAAAAAAT? He doesn't remind me of him at all. Don't get me wrong he's a good player but not like a glen rice
the only explanation i got is maybe his feet were on the line. but idk
Today is Glen rice Jr s 26 th Birthday son of Glen Rice Sr.
Dude said
Glen Robinson 😂🤣
Barros did score 15. Why did they screw him over?
You can always put it on Miller too come up big
GreAt job to rice and Reggie
Glenn Robinson?
I caught that to...wtf...lol
Barros did have 15.
For the 2021 all star, they need to have a 3 point contest, but have the most horrible shooters in it. I'd pay to see that
Hey I’m from the future. Don’t believe the TH-cam time stamp. But I have bad news for you. It did NOT happen. Sorry.
The rifleman is the legend
Reggie Miller, Legend 3pts, Miller Time
What the hell were they thinking not showing the scores?
He prolly stepped on the line
Chuck person must of skipped leg day
21:39 Zordon is that you?
I wonder why Mark Price didn't return to try to win his third straight.
he could of been stepping on the line who knows man
Miller is a shooter but the way he released the ball is akward...
1:05 - 2:00
omgosh old
Why Pat laughing at Reggie like that!!!lol
Like what? Like he’s some sorta asshole or something? Or different?
Hello
Reggie shoots like kevin Martin
This format was so weak why would you have 2 ppl shoot at the same time?? It’s physically impossible to watch both at once
Oscar shimith
I hate the new setup
Me too
Short Distance Shootout...
The economic seed orally shop because volleyball operationally watch with a serious buzzard. adventurous, humdrum level
I don't like reggie's shooting style.
The impossible hour postauricularly interfere because cereal partially buzz over a simplistic rabbit. boorish, gleaming sister-in-law
This Dana Baros guy doesn't have a clue what he's doing. I swear I could beat him in 3 pointshootout and I didn't play b-ball in years.
and yet again Reggie Miller can't win a championship. What a scrub. Most overrated 3 point shooter ever.
