The V double breasted: I have one from Burberry, have worn it for years, looks great, especially for the slim-waisted. AND... Must wear a tie with it! ?? No! It looks very stylish with a great shirt, pocket square...classy! You're still my hero, Man!

I think that single breasted can be worn more regular, but the double breasted has more style in it. but love the video. very educational. and yes, i think, always go for a tailored version, no matter if it is single or double buttoned option. it just looks more awesome :)
I do like double breasted jackets in the winter from a nice thicker wool. They can look awesome, but for the most part I prefer the single breasted. It easier to switch between standing up and sitting down really helps there and I spend lots of time in an office having to do that.
At 4:00, you say never wear a double-breasted jacket without a tie. Mr. Cavaliere, a peer of mens's fashion, always wears one with a printed shirt & it actually looks good.
Although I use mostly a single when I wear them a double definitely is much more stylish, especially when you are well shaped. Love the double breasted coat you had at the beginning I have one that is pretty close to it as well :-)
Nice... I prefer Single Breasted for the same reasons you stated. I think the 80's and early 90's ruined the double breasted suits for me only because they were never fitted right. Not sure if it was the cut or the style, but it seems like people wore the DB jackets bigger and looser and it just looked sloppy to me.

I personally believe you can wear a double breasted jacket without a neck tie as long as there is something going on covering the neck. A great example is a turtleneck which would work pretty well with a lighter colour double breasted jacket.

Hmmm 6 roll 1s and patch pockets on a DB both look great if done right. Brands like Cifonelli are known for both. I'd rethink this one. Also ties and bowties not required if you know what you are doing.

Love your videos, Antonio, but some key points in the video are 100% false. Not only can you dress down a double breasted jacket, you can do so without a tie and with patch pockets. It depends on the fabric, pattern, and fit. But those are the same things to consider when dressing down a single breasted jacket.
E Pe so no anchor button? It just makes it look sloppy. Imho best db- jackets are 6x4 where all four bottom buttons can be buttoned. That way you can either button the bottom two or top two.
I mean the bottom button has the anchor button still .. its just the bottom row.. but I have worn them without buttoning the anchor and if the material is good it falls nice

Love the double breasted almost all my suits are double breasted. I think as a tall guy with bigger shoulder and chest it really fits my build better.
