Genuine compliment, thank you for the little #TIP things that pop up. It's much easier for me to crystallize things in memory if I can "take a picture" of it in my head

I wanted to add I've noticed you guys have callout titles recently (that's what they call it in Davinci Resolve... lower thirds if it's on the bottom of the screen which is being used too... props to the editor) and I appreciate it because after you add all the HOps modals (e.g., @3:43: ctrl LMB on Sharpen; alt LMB weighted normals etc.) that helps at least me, and it's a welcome addition. With just HOpsCutter and Meshmachine it feels like I have as many or more keybinds than all of vanilla blender...
You are entering Ryuu zone. I had to download this because normal speed is too fast, and 0.75 is too slow. I do get for certain now when to Ctrl A, which is far less often than Maya's "delete history," thank god.
The only time I update Blender (and keep the old version I know _works_ so I don't fubar myself) is when an update makes a significant difference. I too run 3.2 (not 3.2.1, or 3.2.2), and 3.3 _only because_ of GN changes I need. I run them in parallel and bask in the glory of the later versions of Blender creating blend files the older versions sometimes can't read. Love that.

Still newish to blender but a decent enough understanding. Question is how to accomplish all of this without the paid addons besides a very complex pipeline if steps breaking each piece down working backwards from final shape in a sense. I kind of have parts in my head so far, series of mirror mods booleans and more base geo than what it calls for. Also I’m probably extremely wrong lol

Hi ! Is the bevel at 4:07 only doable with mesh machine ? Also i've read that mesh machine is only compatible up to the 2.9 vesion of blender, did i get it right ?

I set the union boolean to exact which seemed to fix a wrong bevel direction problem I was having on that first boolean.

when i apply the union boolean i'm getting an extra edge loop on the corners, so i can't bevel the box, can you help please?

Maybe i'm missing something, but thought if giving this hard ops a try, new at modeling, but it seems to make some of my "struggles" easier :-)
However, in the link in the description there's a selection page, and i assume i have to click on "I want this" (after i select the option i want) but nothing happens, and i'm not seeing another buy/pay link.
Is there something i'm not seeing?

Try Blender Market, just search Hard Ops Boxcutter Bundle and it should work there.

@@JoshGambrell Thanks for your reply, that worked, had done a search before, but not all sites I came across looked legit :-)

Great video! Wondering what plug-in you have that makes new shape's edges so pronounced? I have Hard Ops and can achieve that look, but always have to apply it to new shapes manually.

It's the viewport orb dropdown menu, enable Cavity. Check out my recent video 'My Super Simple Blender Setup'

🙋‍♂Is there a way to select 1 face to lets say an ico sphere and alter it in edit mode or bring it into scuplt mode then apply whatever you did to that 1 face to the rest of the faces of the ico sphere?

Please correct me if Im wrong, but not that I know of in vanilla blender. Usually theres way around it for basic objects though. Id recommend looking into the Mesh Copier plugin it does this exact function.
