I found Nan while hunting for Dobie, I let her come to my island. About 15+ days later Raymond came to the campsite then I let him kick Nan out. (I honestly don’t know why) Nan randomly moved to my cousin’s island, but my cousin didn’t want Nan, she wanted Merengue. so we decided to do a little trade. she gave me Nan back while she was in boxes, and I let her have Merengue’s Amiibo card I had at the time :3

Genuine question: do ungifted villagers really matter? Because you can speak to Isabelle about resetting any villagers clothing and catchphrases etc.
I’ve heard that it is possible for them to get their items back sometimes and also you can’t report them for furniture so if someone gave them a weird item for their house you’re stuck with it
