  • Crispy Roasted Pork Belly, Chinese Style with a touch of Team KHLOE ! Ala eh!!! 😅🤣🫣
    Some tips for a crispy yummy goodness of roasted pork belly para sa inyo mga ka Nanay! :) I may have skipped a few steps on the video but I explained it sa audio.
    Hope you like it.
    Ingredients:
    1kg Pork Belly
    For Par- Boiling:
    Bay Leaf
    2 cloves Garlic
    3pcs Star Anise
    5pcs Cloves
    Salt and Pepper
    Dry Rub:
    2 tsp Five Spice Powder
    5 tsp Cummin Powder
    Salt
    Pepper Powder
    Vinegar
    Baking Soda
    Instructions:
    1. Prepare your Pork Belly Slab. Wash and Clean the skin.
    2. Flip the pork belly skin-side down. Cut two long slashes into the meat side, making sure to not cut all the way through. Stop before you hit the skin. Then, score the meat perpendicular to those initial cuts, creating squares. These cuts will allow the flavor to penetrate into the meat better.
    3. Prepare 4 cups of water, or just enough to submerge the slab of pork belly, in a pan or wok. Add in the spices. Turn the heat to high and bring the water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, submerge the pork belly for about 5 mins.
    4. I score the fat side again after boiling. Let it rest for a while. Rub salt and baking soda mix in the skin. Set it aside in the fridge fir at least 2hrs.
    5. Wash the skin side with vinegar mixed with baking soda. Pat the skin dry with a kitchen towel.
    6. Sprinkle the dry seasoning sub all over the meat side of the pork belly, rubbing it into all the scored crevices. You may find that you don't need all of the seasoning rub.
    7. Prepare a piece of aluminum foil that's bigger than the meat. there needs to be some room on the sides to fold up into walls, and you may want a double layer of foil. . Place the pork belly into the center of the foil, with the skin side up.
    8. Preheat your oven. Roast it for 30 mins at 200°C. I take it out once to brush the skin side with vinegar. Then out back in the oven for another 30mins under 220°C.
