Always loved looking at whatever you shared with other collectors. It was always nice to see your full size equipment in action when we visited the Roaring Fork valley!
That isn’t obsessive-it’s fantastic! When I was little and only Tonka available you can imagine the frustration, then the joy when as an adult and found Ertl! Fortunately my son appreciated getting the toys that I always wanted. Mine were always treated so that they look like yours, but I just love the added details. My Grandpa moved houses and had a Cat Sixty that evidently was configured or modified in a different way than most. I spent years searching for a model for Dad and never found one. We lost him two months ago and suddenly on eBay I found a real Sixty for sale that was yellow and with the fuel tank on the right! No way I could have afforded that or shipping it 800 miles but before I could go back and get the pictures, at least, it was gone. Keep at it!
Just awesome ! I have seen a good share of your photo's on the social media diecast groups; yet the detail never ceases to amaze me. I can understand where you are coming from. As I hate it when I pay good $ for a diecast excavator model which has no auxiliary lines and/or hose leading to powered attachments, thumbs, etc. I've only been collecting for 4.5 years; but I have learned how to make these missing pieces on my own. Well, at least to the point that they're respectable and people can tell what they are (lol).
You're not crazy my friend there's nothing wrong with having a Passion stay motivated and chase after your dreams that's a wonderful and beautiful collection
If having a passion for something so cool, relaxing and detailed, them call me crazy!!! I collect Tonka trucks, redesign hot wheels and Ertl and Strutco trucks.
I actually have the same passion, just not to that extent. It comes from both childhood and that Cat color that leaves no doubt as to what it is. One of my favorite customers happens to be Warren Cat in Texas and Oklahoma.
All Cat diecast scale models are life-like replicas of construction, mining, forestry, and transportation machines. They are collectables with moving parts and have an entertainment factor. They are designed for ages 14 and above.

Respect ❤
Well if this makes you crazy.... then so am I!
I love to collect construction models
