    The neighbours must be thrilled with 5-10 cars out the front every night

      They don't own the road side parking, it's given free by the government. You also cannot buy a property and assume your neighbors will never change there's, that's just dumb

      Should've been four houses in a row with four parking spaces in the front.

    Interesting design. How come there's no off street parking and very minimal storage for things like sheets, towels, vacuum cleaner etc...

      Exactly. Because the people who they want to charge a fortune to and are living in it don't matter.
      This is all so sad and short sighted. What we build now will not serve our future.

    Perfect for 15 minute cities - not so good for out of town mates, those with vehicles or families.
    Still a great starter home to build equity the cheapest way possible - without going the renovation DIY route.

    This is what Queenstown needs more of this for single and working couples , the accommodation down there is diabolical...lots of work but nowhere to live ...You could be successful if you took your company to Queenstown at the same time alleviate the housing crisis which has been that way for decades because developers keep building posh expensive homes but miss the mark on this type of housing development ....lakes district council are also to blame because they didn't forecast the towns rapid growth and didn't put it into there planning infrastructure ...i lived there for a few years and it was always a nightmare trying to find affordable accommodation ! .....anyway. Cheers bro , great content ...😊😊

    I love to watch the building process, but I hate to see that these are the types of homes we're building in New Zealand. We're really going down as a country

    • @yessiryousir

      It's called progression, you either build up or tight. All bigger cities have had to go through this..

    • @liam2409
      @liam2409 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      @@yessiryousir I would call it change, not progression. If anything it's regression when the market hits the tipping point to where this is the model.

      @@liam2409If building like this wasn't allowed prices would be even higher than they already are. The population is increasing and people need to live SOMEWHERE. Can't build everybody a single family house on a big parcel of land.

    • @liam2409
      @liam2409 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@vinyfiny That was my point.. the fact that affordable housing has gone all the way down to this really shows how far we've fallen in this country

      People can live somewhere. Infact I can show you nearly half a dozen houses that sit empty on my street and have been for the last couple of years, Both Privately and State owned. It may sound anti landlord but why not add a tax for house that sit empty. These are good houses that familys can live in. Thats the problem we have. Exsisting house stock is not being used which drives up rent, drives up cost of ownership and makes poor policy decisions based on false assumptions.

      Kids can play with other kids at parks and schools and other communal spaces. Higher density housing is great when it's done near those facilities. I saw great two or three story places in Germany where the parks were packed and they were right next to the park. Great facilities for the kids.
