    Great film. Captures the dynamics of the city! Also props to the 696 rider. It is a pain to ride Saigon sometimes with anything bigger than a moped.

      Sticky Insides I think there are a couple different options with the camera... one is a micro 4/3 camera that costs over 2 grand.

    • @stickyinsides1591
      @stickyinsides1591 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually figured out my issue, it kept reverting back to auto even when I set manual exposure. Much better image now that I have it staying in manual. though I probably wouldn't say no to the 4/3 once they get the adapter.

    • @jordanabendroth5568
      @jordanabendroth5568 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sticky Insides I think the 4/3rds camera is out in the form of the x5 or x5r, but those are like over another $1000 over the osmo itself.

    • @stickyinsides1591
      @stickyinsides1591 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the X5R is like $2200 and still no adapter so, that's not gonna happen anytime soon

    My wish for OSMO 2 and improved X3 camera (maybe. X4):
    1. Bigger sensor (1", 1/1.2" or 2/3" )
    2. 4k/60 Hz
    3. Improved chip without cooling fan
    4. Better build-in mic

    • @stickyinsides1591
      @stickyinsides1591 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +youyi li ... they are working on an adapter that if it works will allow you to use the x5R which would do everything I want. They just added an update that turns the fan off while recording on the Osmo1 so close but yes, my biggest issue with mine is low light noise since I tend to shoot bands in dark rooms

    This is not an Hyperlapse - it is too smooth - it is a movie or a film. But you did a good job

    • @artistjoh
      @artistjoh 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      J M ROBERT On the contrary - it is the mark of an expert to make it look smooth. It is easy to do the less smooth version. Just aim the camera and press record. Most people do that and think that is all there is to it. But setting up the camera to maximise motion blur, using ND filters, and potentially using motion blur software in post produces the ultimate result as seen here. You seem to be so used to seeing bad or ordinary hyperlapse that you think that is how it should be. You also seem to be unfamiliar with the variations of hyperlapse that exist these days such as flowmotion and hyperzoom. Ultimately they are all simply techniques within interval video that started in the 1990’s in Canada, and continue to be a rich vein of creative experimentation. This Saigon footage is how it should be when someone very experienced is doing it and is able to play with motion in extraordinary ways.

    • @Internet_Channel
      @Internet_Channel 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Avene the osmo can only compensate so much if you bounce too much when you walk. If you walk steadily, it will be super smooth

    • @christopherlee7318

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      christopher lee so is this a hyperlapse or video? i think it is hyperlapse but how can slow speed down to a normal video speed with normal fps like in 1:41?

    • @christopherlee7318
      @christopherlee7318 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      tintek33 pretty sure it's a hyperlapse transistoned into a video so half, half

  • @lureb74
    @lureb74 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very well done!!! Pleasant to see, descriptive, with the right timing, very exciting! Good boy...
    ... but please, STOP calling it HYPERLAPSE!! If you mean that is in "hyperlapse" style I agree!
    Maybe there are some clips recorded directly in timelapse on the go, aka hyperlapse (which I doubt), but most of the clips are recorded to conventional fps for video, then speeded up / slowed down with frame blending / twixtored, and it's well comprensible from the following clips:
    0: 30-0: 35= starts speeded up, towards the end slowed to normal speed, and in the last frames in slow mo you can clearly see some twixtor artifacts in the contours of the "53-F1..." scooter on the right side of the frame
    0: 39-0: 45= starts speeded up, towards the end at a speed of about 12fps and on the final again speeded up
    ... and in many other clips, almost all of them!
    As far as I know, fps ramping is not possible in consumer or prosumer cameras (except for some Canon with ML installed, and it's very tricky!)
    If you would shoot an hyperlapse with, le's say 1" interval and wide shutter angle (more than 0.5" as it seems to) its IMPOSSIBLE to obtain back that stills, even if you're a video FX genius! And this is as true as the opposite: from stills you can easily get a fluid velocified effect, like this nice one! In other words, if you boil the water of an aquarium you get a fish soup, but it's VERY difficult from a fish soup to get a living aquarium!

    it is a nice camera and the video is really good especially the night footage and the cut, but sorry this is not a real hyperlapse, it is a timelapse. I know hyperlapse sounds more dramatic but isn't it a video where you can't see any cuts?

    Hi There, great hyperlapse vid well done. Could not find any information about settings. What timelapse sec/duration did you used ?
    Please let me tell you beside, you have great products, but the service quality is terrible. After 2 month my P4 had a camera failure. 10 days repair service mentioned, now i`m waiting over a month already and no completion in sight. Even the service staff is quiet angry and i must feel sorry with them. BEHIND A GREAT BRAND MUST BE AN EQUIVALENT SERVICE 2. Sorry to use this way to tell you, but needs to be said. dui bu qi. So, if you let me know the settings from your hyperlapse i`m happy for the moment. Thanks and all the best
