- Train With DPU Starts Up In Camden, Ohio. Mile Long Train Pulled By Single Locomotive! Huge Train With Tank Car Shipped On Flat Car Passes Abandoned Paper Mills. Car Runs The Railroad Crossing Gates With Train Coming. CSX & Norfolk Southern Trains In Ohio.
First, we see a train that had been stopped for 30 minutes. It's starts up and is increasing speed with a DPU working hard. This train is at a busy railroad crossing in Camden, Ohio on the Norfolk Southern New Castle Sub.
Then we go to my favorite railroad crossing in Hamilton, Ohio. A couple of cars run the gates to avoid waiting for a Norfolk Southern intermodal train on the CSX Toledo Sub.
After that a huge Norfolk Southern intermodal train comes across the same railroad crossing. This long train is being pulled by a single locomotive! That is one powerful unit. This train took about five minutes to pass.
Next, is a CSX mixed freight heading southbound. This is a big train. All kinds of freight on this one. The final train is really awesome. This is a northbound CSX mixed freight. It is led by an EMD SD70AC and has an interesting cargo up front. It is carrying a tanker car on a flat car. The trucks ( bogies ) are also on the flat car. Have you ever seen this? This train also has red potash covered hopper cars and all kinds of boxcars. I also tossed in the views of the Hamilton Depot again and also new artwork at the end that was made by Lillia.
Don't forget the Live Action Pets and the slide show at the end of this video.
Filmed Monday, February 3, 2025 in 1080p/4K with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

@JawTooth your welcome Brian. Have a great week too
American locomotive is very powerful ! Today I can see it .Thank you very much .
Thanks for watching my video!
Hey jaw tooth awesome trains. I frown on people ignore crossing. Should yell at them " bet you don't stop for bathroom either" . Have a great railroad day.🚂🙋♀️
Thanks for watching! I hope you have a great railroad day too.
OMG, that first train you caught in Hamilton Ohio, and omg the horn is beautiful, I'm so happy in the spot you were standing in to get the Doppler effect from the beautiful K5LA
Caught it too lol its on my profile on Pic
Thanks for watching my video!

I’m 61 on the 8th of February and I love watching your videos here in the U.K. as they are excellent. Just catching up with a few more 😊
There should be a camera at that crossing to catch the gate runners, then maybe they would think twice before doing it again. Another great video. Norfolk Southern rules the rails! Have a nice day 😊🌈
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Interesting 🤔💭🤔
I've been watching your videos
For about five years now
Five years? Wow, that's awesome! Thanks for watching!
Camden still had a bit of snow yet compared to Glendale. You'll be seeing more single engine trains thanks to new electronics that get every last bit of tractive effort and horsepower applied to the rails. Excellent action, enjoyed it much. Thanks JT!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video. I have noticed quite a few single locomotive trains
Long train Rolling JT awesome Sir and have a great day from Scotland 😊🏴🇺🇲
Thanks, you too!
@JawTooth Awesome as always JT thanks You're welcome 😊
Two AWESOME Norfolk Southern double stack intermodal trains, one AWESOME Norfolk Southern mixed freight train, and two COOL CSX mixed freight trains. Thanks for sharing JT!
Thanks for watching my video!
@@JawTooth You're welcome JT!
That DPU in the first NS train was sounding awesome. I love the sound of the SD's working hard, and that one looked pretty "fresh". And that was a pretty long string of ethanol tankers, too. I noticed the CSX train in Hamilton that had 500+ axles were mostly all loads too, according to the spring compression. That was a heavy drag. And yes, I have seen damaged rail cars being hauled with their trucks. Keep the great vids coming, JT, and I'll keep tuning in. Thanks.
Yes sir I sure do miss them videos with you and hobo shoestring:(
Me too. I wish I could go back and do some long interview videos with him
That first train with the ac44c6m leader in Hamilton Ohio has the best K5LA horn I've heard in a long time , clear and not fouled! Awesome catches! Thanks for all your time and traveling to catch trains!
Exciting train action in Camden and Hamilton Ohio with a lot of cars,
DPU'S, CSX, and Norfolk Southern. also with the amazing marvelous
super pets, great music slide show music outro, awesome artwork by Lillia and have a nice week Thanks Jaw Tooth.☕🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲
Good morning my friend, I hope you’re week is off to a good start. Are you and the gang heading anywhere special this week? If so y’all be safe out there and God bless 🇺🇸🙏🏼
I don't know where I'm going this week but possibly Marion, Ohio. Thanks for watching my video!
The Densmore tank car had two vertical tanks on a flat car. 1866 patent. Available in O and HO.
Cool!👍
Thanks for sharing that information!
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much and have a nice day and night.
Thanks for watching, I am glad you liked the video!

One time in a town in Alberta called Innisfail a southbound train rolled past me and it had some flat cars loaded with damaged potash cars that had derailed near a town east of Alberta’s capital of Edmonton and the train was taking the damaged train cars to Calgary to get fixed I was like to myself wow don’t see that happening very often it was cool
Good morning JT...Red cars were interesting..don't recall seeing them before. Good trains today...the one CXS engine looked really beat...enjoyed the artwork at the end ..have a great day
Thanks for watching my video! I will tell Lillia that you liked her art
Okay, JT...you ready for this?? You didn't know it at the time you shot this video in Hamilton, but -- @18:45 thereabouts -- with that CSX manifest approaching, you resurrected a timeless (similar) image that was recorded (as a black-and-white still photograph) 63 years ago by the classic photographer J. Parker Lamb. I'm referring to the young person in the foreground of your video who dropped his/her bicycle to photograph the oncoming CSX train...a good, old-fashioned image of "Americana"...no bullshit railfan setup, etc. Here's the story...in June 1962, at a diamond crossing in Selma, NC, Mr. Lamb captured a young boy on a simple bicycle stopping to watch a local Southern Railway freight -- led by an Alco RS-3 -- pause as Atlantic Coast Line passenger train 376, the "Everglades", crossed the diamond before him. Like so many of J. Parker Lamb's immortal photographs, this one was, in fact, published by "Trains Magazine" in the early 1960's, in its "Railroad News Photos" gallery, simply entitled "Boy and a Train". An avid reader of "Trains" back then, I remember that image as if it were "yesterday". I was so pleased to see this fine memory in your video...thank you.🤗👍👌
Wow, that is awesome! I will go back and take a look at it. I have had a subscription to Trains Magazine since the early 70s. That is my favorite magazine. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Awesome vid Mr jawtooth hope you stay well and yesterday weather in Indy was 60 degrees anyways have a great one!
Thanks for watching my video! I hope your week is going well.
Great catches! Awesome video JT!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Thank you very much!
The third train on this video simply amazed me on how many cars a single Locomotive can pull. I wonder how long it takes to get up to speed starting from a dead stop.
It's amazing how much one locomotive can pull!
Cool video. The tanker on the flat car was cool. First CSX Train a manifest train ran Saturday on Harrisburg East. Second day a CSX manifest with their Monon Heritage went west. Got that at Hershey Pa. Very busy this year with CSX running on Norfolk Southern Harrisburg East Line.
Yesterday morning a train took 1 hour and 5 minutes to pass through Glendale. It never stopped, but moved at about a mile per hour!
That sounds like a pretty long train too. I wonder if I got it in Hamilton. Do you know what the locomotive numbers were? Thanks for watching my video!
@JawTooth While the slow train was on the track near the tavern, 3 other trains passed it also northbound on the far track!
Wow did they name that train Snail?
@@diannabrooks Thanks for watching!

Greetings, Jawtooth from Columbia, South Carolina. There's a city of Camden here in South Carolina about 20 to 25 minutes from here in Columbia. I could be wrong, but I believe that trains run through town there as well. Thank you for sharing the videos, Sir, and be safe out there. Ohh I forgot....my 57th birthday was last Thursday, January 30th, 2025😊.
Good afternoon I enjoy that video👍👍
Thanks for watching my video!
Good video Jawtooth
Thanks!
Awesome video. Love them shiny CSX engines
Thanks for watching!
If the lights are flashing, they are runners! One of my kids got a warning for doing that. Lights were flashing and the gate hadn't started down until she was on the tracks.
So glad you film the surrounding towns. Some lovely buildings
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video with a dpu working hard but wait there’s more to come 👍😎🚂🇺🇸❄️👍
Thanks for watching my video!
Hey cool trains jaw tooth looks like sunny days for you. -25 here -30 with the I'll wind that's blowing sorry o.k have a cool day.
Thanks for watching!
Yeah!! A 5 car shared axle group with road trailers on it! That was different! Good catch, Brian! It always seems just groups of 3 for the containers. I wonder why that is, and why is it always an odd number?
😂 then the next train had containers in groups of 5. Pie in my face!😂😂😂😂
Good morning Jaw Tooth.
Thanks for watching my video!
If the crossing lights activate and you have time to stop but don't, you're a runner. If the gates are coming down, you had plenty of warning. If you proceed across the tracks at that time, you're a runner.
Bet people who run them probably don't stop to use bathrooms and try to hold it in as long as they can.
Thanks for watching my video!
Nice little village Camden. Fab first train it got faster with the dpu working hard, trains do go fast through here, Awesome video from Camden & Hamilton incredible that 1 loco pulling that huge intermodel impressive. JT thank you! ❤😊👍

I enjoyed watching is video of trains in Camden, Ohio and in Hamilton, Ohio, Jaw Tooth! Thank you for documenting these trains for us to enjoy. You captured some long trains in Hamilton, Ohio. (Posted on 4 February 2025 at 14300 CST.)
I love trains with a long string of steel coil cars!
Hey JT. How’s it going? Nice trains there ole buddy. Ever come across Shoestring’s signature on any cars? Still miss him.
I filmed him signing a boxcar in Iowa. I was with him in Kentucky and Tennessee when he signed crossing shanties also
Another great job JT got some good ones keep up the good work👍
Thanks for watching!
Another awesome video JT and I really like it when you go there to Hamilton because most of the time you catch a lot of trains but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one

Camden looks like a nice town how far is it from your house in Ohio like this video
It is about 75 miles from me. Thanks for watching my video!
@JawTooth ok have a nice day today
Great video, I plan on catching another train this weekend, I also love the music in the beginning and the end.
That's great, I hope you get some good footage! I film 3 or 4 days a week no matter what. Tomorrow I will be back at it. If I was young again I would use TH-cam as my only job. They didn't have it when I was young so I had to work for the man lol
Very good JT. Good trains. I enjoyed the scene in Camden and appreciate the close-up of the Hamilton station.
Thanks for watching!
Would love to see more tunnel trains going in or out of tunnels
There is a tunnel that I have been thinking about lately. I like tunnels also Thanks for watching my video!
Hey, I also caught a similar type of train that was on the CSX Willard Sub at Hoytville, just east of Deshler. It had one engine and over 600 axles. I also caught a Ferromex locomotive in Deshler as well. Nice video and catches! I hope to come to Camden someday.
Didn’t know there was more than one Camden in Ohio. Grew up in Lorain County and we have a Camden Township. I was getting all excited then I was ‘Wait a minute’. Oh well maybe next time. Enjoy your videos.
7:30 Hamilton seems to lead your channel in crossing-gate runners. Hopefully, you never witness anyone paying the price for that.
Thanks for watching my video! I have seen some close ones
Nice Capture!

146 cars on one engine. Thats 3 more than the famous UP 3985 pulled up a Hill in 1990, and the official longest train I have ever seen pulled by a single locomotive.

Hi jawtooth great video like that dpu
Hey, thanks!
Hey that didn't look like a Big Boy! First diesel, 4014. I think they should use a caboose on long trains.
Thanks for watching!
@@JawToothQuestion, do they even make new caboose for freight trains? The old ones look so tiny next to the freights. Are they used as sleeper trains for the crew on long hauls ? Thanks.
24:50 Hazmat code 1093 is acrylonitrile, used to make ABS plastic.
You went to Camden? Come back to Seven Mile on your way to Hamilton, and do an early am train night move there around 3ish. When I lived there 8 yrs ago, those trains had wings and would fly through there around 60/70 mph or more going north. Like it was a suicide mission 😢
front row houses may not like trains at 2 AM. LOL
Awesome live action jaw tooth 1🚂🚂🚂
Hi jaw tooth awesome videos I like that you get trains and all different places

The law is that when the flashing red lights start at a level crossing is when you stop. NOT when the gates are fully down. You'll live longer by stopping at the flashing red lights.
WERE U EVER ABLE TO CONTACT TRACKSIDE FOR SOME TIPS ON MAKING VIDEO'S ??
