- Helichrysum /hɛlɪˈkraɪsəm/ - Helichrysum italicum is a flowering plant of the daisy family Asteraceae. It is sometimes called the curry plant because of the strong smell of its leaves. Other common names include Italian strawflower and immortelle. It grows on dry, rocky or sandy ground around the Mediterranean.
I named this piece "Helichrysum" 1. Because it's a precious plant with flowers that hold a fragrance that transports me back to the wild mountains of Pla de Petracos where I grew up, I'd go off adventuring with my beautiful dog and the curry fragrance of this wild plant would envelop me, I'd always end up bringing its fragrance back home with me. 2. Another name for it is the "Everlasting Flower" and that's what I feel in the energy of this song, an everlasting hypnotic sensation that stays with you forever - like when I smell this plant. It is also a plant with incredible healing properties, the natural fragrance of the flowers immediately calms me.
