Another awesome video - clear and concise. I also share Valdis Black's concern about showing the 1N4148 diode part number. Showing a diode without a part number might be a better choice for a generic diagram. While the 1N4148 could work for some situations, it would not be a good choice for many others. Since this is a learning video series, you may want to do a followup about choosing diodes for these types of applications.

What about the relay that latches to a position even when power is removed.

This seems to be all about 1 input creating multiple outputs. But what if you have multiple inputs and want only 1 output i.e. two different sources calling for the same unit: in domestic heating, the heating circuit OR the hot water circuit calls for the same pump to turn on and you cannot run 2 lives to the same point. Which relay can you use for this scenario?

Is solid state induction possible ? using a magnet and coils ,
electronics ,no moving parts .

I thought too that the input in relays somehow controlled the output too? ... Like with 100ma in it does XA out but with 200ma in it goes to 2XA

4148 as flyback diode for a relay? Isn't it too weak for this?

What about an Adjustable power supply using 16x SPDT switches driving a R2R network which sets the output of a adjustable regulator where the wanted value is selected as a binary number.

BTW Relay coils DO NOT REPEL the actuator, they either Attract, or Release the actuator. a Spring returns the actuator the "Normal" position (as in Normally Open/Closed as opposed to the abnormal or energised position)
