Just was diagnosed with morphea on my scalp. I never noticed when it was active but now I have the indentation. Need to go back to UT health for a follow up
Hi, I am a woman of 58, treated for Morphea (lineair + generalized) in the Netherlands (RadboudUMC). To be frank, this explanation helps me more than the few words I get during my (short) visits to the hospital. Thank you so much. During the (very) fast development of my disease, I got blisters over the lower part of my leg that opened. After half a year I am still struggeling to treat my leg so the last wound on my ankle will close. Underlying tissue in my ankle and knee are involved, muscles in my leg also. Although I am a member of the patient "society" for my disease, I still have found no one who has my form of the disease. That feels rather lonely.
Thank you for this informative, thorough video. This is super helpful and clearly explained. I am 24 and my first lesion appeared about a year ago on my thigh. I thought it was bruising at first or internal bleeding. I had a punch biopsy and have been diagnosed with generalized morphea. It has been about 1 year, and new lesions have developed around my thighs and a few small lighter lesions on my sides and arms. Basically it is a waiting game. I tattooed over one lesion which helped with my self-confidence a lot. I plan to get more tattoos but what worries me is the possibility of atrophy. Zero sign of it yet. Good luck in this crazy life everyone! Have fun.
I have circumsized post menapausel morphea. The dermatologist found out from biopsy. I use topical steriods. On my fifth spot coming in all on my stomach, hard and ugly. What is phototherapy? Will rwd light therapy help?
