I think just situationally the wiser call was probably just to target the other side of the field. Just wasn’t enough space inside the 5 for the fade. I run Houston playbook because it’s the closet to your scheme(levels divide, deep comebacks, etc) while adding a few read options. Keeps the pressure honest. Perfect audible substitute for the RPO Zone peek, is the just the simple read option in Gun Y slot. Downside to Houston PB is there’s no Gun Spread. Which I suppose probably isn’t really worth it to you in your scheme just to have a read option available to you. But it’s just a thought for that given situation. The vert hooks let the slots pass through to the safeties and the mid read matches any post route coming from the 3 rec side. It shouldn't be a base call because the seam streak by strong side 2 is a big weakness. But the vert hooks matches opposite side drags and allows you to cover deep middle unless there's two receivers going inside the safeties like empty verts. But if you mix it up with quarters and palms on the strong side, you'll get picks from guys throwing a drag thinking it's open when it won't be
26:27 A good redzone double out concept would be putting #2 on the zig so the flat defender covers the first out & creates better spacing. If proper alignment (defender on wr), zig by #1 & flat by #2 creates a rub. The fade/flat is great redzone concept too Great content!
Love your stuff brother....on the PA HB Curl play from Doubles Flex I've found the most success streaking the tight end and then also streaking the receiver you bring in motion across the formation. Between the two streaks and the RB curl route tied to the playaction.....that weird post corner route consistently gets open against both zone and man.
Little RPO trick/tip certain RPOs actually can change receiver blocking assignments to actual routes should you motion them somewhere else, usually you can motion them back to their original spot to bring a new passing option into your RPO. Idea that I remembered from (38:40), also helps out a ton in the RZ
A thing about the Competitive game mode is that they will almost never call AI penalties (especially the ones that happen on the back end on defense, and most of the blocking ones)
Singleback Ace Bunch is my favorite RZ formation inside the 5. So much flexibility Just tried MUT maybe a month ago. Love how you can build a team for how you play. Honestly people play the same as regs they just care more because they're spending 200$ for a team to compensate for their lack of pure skill/knowledge. I've spent 25$ to get a team 85 overall. Maybe will spend $25$ more but I can't justify spending over 200$ on this game.
In the red zone I’ve noticed you gotta run slot zig. It gives you a little delay to hit the slot on the back shoulder. Plus it beats man most times if it’s not pressed
For some reason the safeties can’t move in the end zone for some frickin reason. So what I do is get into a safety blitz to bring them down on their own, then audible into the play I want, it works 100% It’s NOT your controller, it’s the game…
I noticed during the sped up parts when your opponent came out in 12 and 13 personnel packages you would occasionally play “cover 3” with outside corners in cloud flats. Is this sound/why is this ok to call in that situation?
I only do it to oneside. And when I cloud flat the corner, I play deep 1/3 with the 2nd defender in. Basically I switch the responsibility of the corner and the apex. I user the apex to do this. I do this for better leverage.
Fought hard, unfortunately lost. The play at the end is actually pretty good. It is available in gun and singleback bunch.I think the route is called Poco (post corner). It's not quite a post at the beginning, but it's pretty close.

In the red zone I like to audible from spread to singleback trips. The hb zone weak is usually money. If not hb power o, stretch or the bubble screen are other options. I keep 2 of those 4 in the audibles.
Singleback is truly such a versatile way to play the game, just there aren’t the explosive passes out of it to make it it more worthwhile than shotgun for most players

I'm assuming this is suppose to be similar to the Lion concept, but i'm not entirely sure. I found your explanations of the other RPO's to be very helpful!
Instead of the double outs concept, I really like a go and a flat. Think I’ve heard it called diagonal 9. I feel like it stresses that lone corner that’s the outer shell much more
I run that as well. I've just started throwing in this double out stuff. One issue in madden is the other worldly closing speed of the deep half safety on that concept when in cover 2
I like it as a flat and a fade against that specific alignment. I also use a zig and a fade in other spots. The fade is nice in goal line situations because it runs towards the corner of the end zone. You can fit it in over a CB who is jumping the out/flat/zig route.
I agree but I think it can lead to fun unconventional strategies. Give me a WR at TE card and all of a sudden I’m threatening explosive runs and passes from going from I-form to more explosive spread looks
Xando the same thing happen to me with the safety not moving at the end of the game when my opp was going for the two point conversion to win it or lose it. I was so confused, so the second time it happen to me I just usered the other safety. Madden coding is horrible bro.
One other thing....that unfortunate situation that happened to you end of game with the safety is 100% a glitch in the game that occurs in the red zone when you try to user a safety. It doesn't happen all the time...but when it happens you have to call timeout and get off the safety to user someone else. It happened to me as well last week....just not at the end of the game like it happened to you.
I just jumped to run heavy and this spread is giving ppl problems. Ive averaged about 28 pts a game. Its helps me go through my reads so much quicker. Your controllers not broke it does that when your in some kind of third or inside quarter i switch to a hook at the break then it lets you move again.

I had really satisfying come from behind win and kind of like your precious video I felt like was only behind bc of own mistakes on defense. Think you need a different scheme/formations for inside the 5 (offensively).. so you can handle short yardage better, you DONT need to stay in spread in that situation
I can't help myself. My spread addiction is really bad...and in a game where the fade route is utter trash, it's even harder running spread down there. But I just can't help myself.

Pre snap read: Do you have numbers for the bubble? If yes throw, if not run. Is it man coverage? If yes run the ball, if no throw the bubble Is the user looking to jump the bubble? If yes use the blocking receiver to confirm motion across field (this will change his assignment from blocking to a hitch route). SEND HIM BACK to his old spot (motion him back, don’t reset the play). Now you have a hitch bubble high low on the 2nd defender in to read post snap (again it’s a bit of a “madden thing”)

That’s the worst way to lose. I always make sure to turn that camera toggle off. Too many times crazy things have happened. You had that win.

Only in Madden you can guard a Spread Formation with Base Align Press smdh. I hate how this game does not respect Leverage.
