I think you'd enjoy the _Charlie Murphy True Hollywood Stories_ (another skit from the Chapelle Show). They're actually true and hilarious. There's one about Rick James and one about Prince worth checking out. Charlie was Eddie Murphy's brother.
The RZA and GZA are two members of the legendary hip hop group, Wu-tang Clan. Amazing musicians and people, which adds an extra layer of hilarity to their spots in the draft ;)
Don’t feel bad for laughing Millie, it’s what it’s there for! 😂 I saw you holding back those laughs when you pursed your lips, if you think this is controversial you should watch other skits from this show😂😂
I think it's fun to see people unfamiliar and not sure if they should be laughing. It's like a social experiment. How much is too much? I'm here to find out. 😂
Wu Tang is the best imo but latino pick is highly underrated joke. The way everyone reacted was perfection because literally predicted how most people would react with almost no knowledge or completely forgetting this event even happen. The fact that they kept it in skit despite knowing most people wouldn't get it means they were pretty proud of it.
the wu Tang Clan is a rap group who has been around since the 80's and has always been into asian culture and are even in some martial arts movies go look
More like before social media and phones made people realize that racism is still a big enough issue that society isn't mature enough yet to be able to freely joke about race and other topics. It's good to laugh and have a good time but not when some people are laughing for the wrong reasons
People your age and in your country might not get it. But Elian Gonzalez was news every night in the US for like a full year. Little Cuban boy with a minor custody issue. Literally every day for a year, they couldn't stop.
His mom died on their way to seek refuge in the USA. The father was in Cuba still. And there was a big fight between the Cuban government and Cuban-Americans in Miami about what country should he should stay in. Eventually he was rightfully returned to his father in Cuba and became a national hero.
I love that skit its been awhile. Some of it may have been a bit dated for some of you youngins. I could tell by the reaction from James and Millie that Elian Gonzales went right over their heads.
Colin Powell RIP was a very famous General during the Gulf War. He later rose to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, which was the height of his military career. I noticed that you 2 did not recognize his name.
@@kuskesh_haramzadeh That's also a weird way to say American. Even if you were Iranian, Colin only helped your nation by taking out Saddam and destabilizing the middle east further.
This was an awesome TV show. This was how it was broadcasted no censoring was needed. We need more shows like it to come back and not worry about the small number of people that get offended or worry about their feelings.
Yea Chappelle Show and other cable show was uncensored because it was on what was at the time called "cable tv" wasn't as heavily regulated by the same rules and regulations as non cable mainstream television channels.
1) At 5:04, Mos Def coughs and says "cracker." At 6:37, he wipes his hand off after touching a white person. 2) The celebrities being drafted were raised in or exposed to a multicultural environment, so more than one demographic group could claim them as their own. There is an error in the sketch--Colin Powell was not 100% black. Both of his Jamaican-born parents were of mixed African and Scottish ancestry. You can tell just by looking at him that he had some European ancestry. (I've avoided talking about races, because there is just the one human race. We need to develop new language to talk about our differences.)
Elian Gonzalez joke went over your heads you guys were like 2 when that situation happened. He was a Cuban whose mother and uncle died drowning because of a capsized boat in 1999. Rescued by fisherman the 6 year old became the center of debate whether or not he should be allowed to live with Florida family or go back to his father a Cuban patriot still living on the island. With Fidel Castro and President Bill Clinton getting involved. A lot of white liberals wanted him to stay but ultimately it was determined his father's rights to his son was the utmost importance and the police raided his uncle house to get him and fly him back to Cuba.
Dave's show was amazing. You should also check out the skit Mid-day News on SNL. It's too funny but is very true of how people view news stories in the US especially black people. I never really paid attention to how funny watching (or reacting to) the news was growing up black in America until I saw this skit and began to reflect....😂😂
Do you really feel bad for laughing? Or do you feel bad for laughing because you think you're supposed to feel bad for laughing? Don't let the PC crowd dictate how you feel.
This sketch is dated. It's still pretty funny, but the more references you get the funnier it is. My favorite Chappelle Show sketch is still "I Know Black People."
I love how in typical Wu-Tang fashion, they could only get 2 members to show up to an event.
I think you'd enjoy the _Charlie Murphy True Hollywood Stories_ (another skit from the Chapelle Show). They're actually true and hilarious. There's one about Rick James and one about Prince worth checking out. Charlie was Eddie Murphy's brother.
For whatever reason, Charlie's skits crack me up even more than stand up comedians who I consider the best. RIP Charlie, way too soon.
@@rukus9585 He had the art of storytelling down, just so organically funny.
YES
Those are the best
Absolute must.
Its ok to laugh. That is the whole point. To laugh about stereotypes.
I still didn't get some parts though. Mid video. Pfft

Really good comedy doesn’t get old. It’s been at least 20 years and this is still funny
Right. Abbott and Costello's best stuff was over 70 years ago and that s--- still cracks me up!

I would suggest Clayton Bigsby.

Yeeeesssss! This was awesome! So long fried rice hello fried chicken!!! Damnit Dave! Got me right off jump and couldn’t stop laughing since

This is one of my favorite bits. Don't feel bad for laughing, it's not even in the top 5 most "controversial" Chappelle's Show bits haha
Dave chappelle literally has no chill. Bro don’t gaf either. But that’s what makes him funny af too. 😂
Alot of these jokes will fly over the heads of people born like 1995 and up. But damn this is funny af still to this day.
Nah, the only people that won't understand this are mostly still under 18.
the wu Tang Clan is a rap group who has been around since the 80's and has always been into asian culture and are even in some martial arts movies go look
The beginning of the video was so funny because it was before everybody everybody got so uptight type about racism
👀👀 Yeah... that's a new thing.

That Elian Gonzalez joke absolutely killed in 2002
Classic Chappelle, this is gold!! It's clear you don't get some drugs but you had to be there 😂
RZA, GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa. are the members of wu-tang clan
Definitely wasn't the funniest skit though. Pfft
Great video!!! Do not worry about those who are offended.... You cannot control other's reaction

I'm guessing they have no idea who the WuTang Clan is 🤣🤣🤣
Of Elian Gonzalez
