I mean this lovingly! Just so we are clear! But I think your crazy my friend! We all want to see anything and everything you do. I love your style and all your ideas. Even the ones you haven’t finished are so inspiring! Turn on the camera and show us more of everything. WE WANT TO SEE!! Love this and I love you more.
Wow, how amazing about your upgrade to a Singer Stylist sewing machine. That is the first and only machine that I have ever bought in about 1974. I still use it to this day. They were and are quality built. I have been thinking about getting one that has a few more stitch patterns. This model would be perfect. And I liked the two features with buttons you pointed out. Thanks for mentioning your purchase on the video.
I've been using it for a few days now and I'm pleased. The Pfaff that I dropped was a notably more spendy machine (my mom had passed it along to me when she got a new machine) but I like this one just as much. I know many sewers are brand specific, but I just wanted durable with the start/stop buttons.
Everything you make is beautiful. I learn so much from you. It is unbelievable all the ideas you come up with and the technique you use to explain everything. I could listen to you for hours. Thank you for your knowledge that you share. May you always have the enthusiasm to continue to educate. Love u.❤❤
Cori - I know you don't do this for a "living" but you certainly could! I am blown away by every video you do! I keep thinking "I wish she had a course I could buy!" - You truly are an artist! Thank you for sharing your talents with us. By the way, I saw this morning that Took had some ephemera holder books, with various sized pockets, in her shop this morning that might suit your needs.
Paula, you don't know how much I appreciate you. You are always so kind and thoughtful. Thank you for saying that. My leg has been making me cranky and your sweet message was just what I needed to be cheered up. Thank you ❤️
Hey Cori! I'm so amazed you can make videos right now. After each of my knee surgeries, I didn't want to move. You either have a high threshold for pain, or you're on pain killers that aren't making you a space cadet! What an amazing woman in more ways than one!!! I loved your journaling cards and so happy you got a new sewing machine that doesn't frustrate you!!! Please take good care of yourself!!! ❤❤❤
So much amen right there Pat. I'm struggling with the recovery on this one. I have a stool and a pillow under my desk to prop my leg, but I can't seem to last but an hour or so. This darn leg is getting in the way of all of my plans! But, progress not perfection. It will get there. Bless you, sweet lady ❤️
Always love the details you put into your journaling elements but also the helpful details you give us from notes you have collected to share. You are a true teacher!
I'm revisiting this video and remembered seeing the baby breath. I bought a bouquet at my grocery/florist store and dried them, and I just realized that I haven't made one of your super cute tags using the flower. Well, I'm working on a Venice, Italy junk journal, yes I googled are baby breaths grown in Italy, and yes they are! I like to be authentic in what I do so I'll be sure to include one of your tags. Thank you for your ideas. I love watching you!
First time seeing your channel. I am not a junk journal maker, but really enjoy all the hard work that all you craft wizards do with bits and bobs that others just throw away. LOVE Jibid Neary, Diane Hubert, and Meimies Keepsakes, just to name a few . Now will add your videos to watch and be amazed!! Your dried flower Journaling cards are out of this world!!!🥰🥰🥰
Hello and welcome! A lot of what I share can work well for any paper crafting....scrapbooking, card making, or happy mail. I'm honored and humbled because I'm a HUGE fan of Jibid. Thank you for sharing the others as I'm not familiar with their work and I'm looking forward to learning from and being inspired by some new people ❤️
Absolutely love all of these, but so great to put that tissue paper over the tickets; the muting effect is superb. Love those flowers!! Thanks for sharing your artistry with us and I hope you heal fast.
It just makes me happy. Sturdy, non plastic and it doesn't break if (when) I drop it. Plus, it makes me think of my grandma who used several pieces of it.
I swooned when those gorgeous flowers arrived. I still like using my dies and inks and making them, but these are just all kinds of wonderful. Thank you, Lorna ❤️
I love these scraps! I really appreciate it that you introduce us to new artists, makers and sellers - I see so much that I might not otherwise be exposed to, and to be inspired by. (I believe that you're a teacher, so sorry about the dangling participles! haha). Thanks very much for your hard work.
LOL! I (currently) teach 4th grade. I'm grateful to see a complete sentence with a subject, predicate, capital beginning and punctuation ending, Your participle can dangle away!
I 'discovered' your videos this evening... You have a new fan! 😍 I absolutely love your work! Thank you for sharing. I'm looking forward to binge-watching all of your videos. ❤❤❤
Fantastic video. I even wrote don your list because it inspired me to start a list and I could use yours and spend less time thinking. I loved the journal card and right now a paper plate sits with a whole pile of dried flowers. I’ve been scrapping for 27 years, stamping and card making for about 22 and mixed media maybe 5. Swore I was not gonna get into art or junk journals at all, no way and now I am bound and determined to make a junk journal. I’ve been shopping ( and way to much) so now I have what I need except knowledge. So thank you to you and everyone else I am learning from❤
You can do it Carol!! Making a junk journal is a whole lot like making a mini scrapbook album. Use what you've got and collected and do for it! And welcome to the obsession 😁
I always enjoy your videos! You are so inspiring and so giving! Taking your time to share what you make, how you make it, and how you store it! Wishing you a lovely day!
Thank you, Lonna. Your kind comment just made me smile, and I really needed a smile right now. I appreciate you taking the time and making the effort to comment ❤️
You always have such great idea’s ,I use a large 3 ring binder with clear page protectors to store vintage papers,it is very easy to turn the pages to find what your looking for and it holds quite a lot
Another great video but I want to see more. I always want to see more. I want to see everything you make. Don’t hold back. Take care of yourself Cori! You are loved!
LOL! You make me smile Karen 😊 Please believe me when I say that not all of it is worth sharing! Thank you, very much. Your kindness is deeply appreciated ❤️
I love your videos so much! You are always so creative, organized and a wonderful teacher!❤ Everything you make is so pretty. Cori, sorry you had to have surgery. Prayers it heals quickly my crafty friend. 🙏🏻
Loved seeing all your recent makes. Hope you are healing quickly and almost back to your old (young!) self! Loving Justine and Mandy's challenges and fb group. So much fun! I haven't done any window/flower pieces yet, but it's on my list. They are adorable. Take care.❤❤❤
Catch'n up on all things sweet Cori! Those pre-die-cut flowers are gorgeous! WOW!! Intricate, bright and detailed! Ok didn't know you had surgery! You are impressive! Praying you continue to heal! Now back to your video - just saying! xoxo
I'm just playing catchup! 🙈 I love what you made; I'm definitely going to have to give those transparency cards a go 🤩 Thanks so much for sharing about the challenges; I'm so pleased you're getting involved with them 💖💖
Vintage sewing machines are wonderful to use for sewing paper. The basic zig zag and straight stitch machines are not difficult to recondition they need gentle cleaning and oiling with sewing machine oil. Armed with some basic knowledge from You tube videos you can do it yourself ( because I did it! ) these vintage machines blow the modern made sewing machines away on price and durability. Hi, I checked the Libra designs shop and the shop description said she doesn’t ship to USA. Her flower diecuts are so pretty. Your artwork is beautiful! This is my 1st visit to your channel. I like it here! 😊
No worries at all! Please feel free to contact her. It took about 2 weeks to arrive, but she was very willing to ship it to the US for me ❤️ Her die cuts truly are beautiful.
Hey Cori, loved your video, some many shares, love how much there was to look at and get ideas from. Adore the last tag you did with the transparancy/paper and flower, it looked fabulous. I would love to use real flowers but I have absolutely no joy drying them out :( would be interested to know you process :) enjoyed hanging out with you, as always! - not sure how I missed your knee surgery, so sorry, hope you're on the mend, slowly and surely! xxx
Thank you, Mandy, and thank you again for the tip about Susan's gorgeous die cuts! My flower drying system would probably make professional flower driers cringe, but it works for me. I lay the flowers between two pieces of paper towel, to absorb the moisture, then I lay them between two layers of plywood. I clamp down the plywood (with cheap, dollar store type clamps) and forget about them for a few weeks. Most flowers come out pretty decently, and fairly flat, that way. There are loads of videos using oven and microwave and such, but I don't trust myself not to burn down the house 😊 The leg/knee is very slowly getting better, thank you. Best wishes on a fantastic and refreshing vacation!
So many wonderful things to share. Loved the cards you made on video too ❤. As a quilter I sew really fast but on paper I've learned it's better to go slow 😊.
Both are just happy things in my world. Both are old and worn, yet still quite useful. As a bonus, they remind me of my beloved grandmother, who had and used both ❤️
I'm currently Your Newest Subscriber! Idk WHERE I've been!?! You've got some Amazing Crafty Content on your Channel! I'll be Binge-Watching For Days to watch just the videos I really want to watch! LOL! ~🙏💙🙏Much Gratitude From the Carolinas🙏💙🙏~
Wow such beautiful ideas!! Have you ever used single ply napkin in place of the tissue/vellum? It works beautifully and you can really see the original underneath😊
I am new what do you use over the dried flowers? It looks like a type of plastic also you mentioned that it’s for shaker cards. Not sure what that is. Could you do a video on that? Thank you. Wonderful to watch.
Hello Lisa and welcome. I use transparency film. It's also called window film or acetate and can be found at Amazon and through most large office supply stores.
Sooo…i was just keeping the video on the background while I was at work and when I looked saw your storage, I was so amazed. How were you able to keep the paper from falling down the tray considering that you store them “vertically”😂 my brain is not working anymore and all i have done is write an email. I realized it’s the camera angle. I love your work though. So inspiring ❤
Cori I love your videos you are so creative and an excellent instructor. You may have said already, what product do you use to make the clear pockets, tags, and journal cards? The dried flowers are beautiful
Tooks Craft Table just put out some lovely ephemera holders that she makes. Her video just went up today with 3 and she has done some custom orders. Not sure if it’s what you are looking for. You seem like the kind of person who has to keep very busy. The amount of stuff you do while also working full and time and running a channel, it’s just amazing. Do you have a phone booth installed in your craft room to change into super woman?! I was gifted an old sewing machine, but since I’ve never sewn before and it’s a little dissembled, I don’t know how to get started. I found the old manual online, but it’s of no help. Seems like a really good machine. Such beautiful and unique journal cards! 🤗❤️❤️
That's an excellent resource, thank you! I wish I could pop over, take a look at your machine and guide you. I promise, it is very easy once you get going.
Hi, First time watcher. Really liked the dried flower and transparency cards and tags. Good to know info about thickness too. Was wondering why you dont just make a ''storage journal'' to store your vintage ephemera? Or use a ring binder with clear pockets.
Hello and welcome! It's probably silly, I just really like using vintage items to store my vintage pieces, including authentic ephemera. I agree that a binder and plastic sleeves makes sense. I know I'll land on something!
@@CoriDahmen Well you can cover the binders in old linens and vintage lace, velvets or an old wedding gown. As far as plastic, you use transparencies...or use semi transparent wax paper/tracing paper vellum or pockets.
Hello Cori, I loved the video today. I bought flowers for the front porch for the summer so I hope to get some really pretty things to put in between some clear stuff, (the name eludes me at the moment, LOL) There are some really lovely little blooms out there and I keep telling myself to go get some NOW before they all die on me. But as for your vintage ephemera, have you given thought to a simple 3 ring binder and heavy duty sheet protectors? Being a teacher you probably have, but maybe not.
LOL Lisa! Yes, I thought about a binder, but then thought "where's the fun in that?!" I may go that route though, because I need something more useful 😁 Clear stuff = transparency, window film, acetate. Just depends on where you live, I think.
@@CoriDahmen for me it has to be easy to use or I won't use it. I need something or some way to store my rubber stamps. I have them in binders but it is a bit awkward with the weight.
I’m sorry to hear about your sewing machine mishap. I agree with the above comment that you need to be bubble-wrapped. I also love your makes and your beautiful notes! Thank you for sharing. Be careful please.
Hey Cori, when did you have y our knee surgery? I thought it was comin up. Great ideas with the flowers and tickets. Take care and I look forward to seeing your upcoming journal videos! Hugs!🥰
Hi Nancy! My knee surgery was Friday, June 2nd. I admit, I'm struggling with this one. I usually bounce back pretty quickly, but I haven't this time. Still, it's better than it was before the surgery, so I'll take it. The stool and pillow under my desk allow me to sit in my craft room for an hour or so a day. I was hoping I'd be able to do more. How are you? I hope your procedure went great and that you are recovering wonderfully ❤️
@@CoriDahmen Cori, it's been a 8 days since my surgery, I have my post op tomorrow, Thursday, so we'll see what the surgeon says. I'm doing better every day. I think I'm probably do a little too much but I am icing it and bending/stretching it like he told me to. Just take it easy and remember don't sit too long, get up every now and then if that is what your doctor said to do. Hopefully, you and I will be back int he swing of things asap! Hugs!🥰
Hi Cori Love your awesome work! I recently bought some glossy accents from Ranger. I’m sure you mentioned something different that self levels. What do you use? Babs x
Hello Babs! Glossy Accents is a terrific product and will work well. I generally use Nuvo Crystal Glaze in clear, or Seth Apter Vintage Beeswax embossing powder, depending on the look I want.
It wasn't specifically about using dried flowers on tags, but two (I think...) videos back I was making items with dried flowers. Since they were on my desk, and I had shared how I colored the babies breath, I was using the pieces up in this video.
Thank you and yes, I do love scraps. I found the enamelware through a variety of sources. Antique malls and ebay were the source for the vast majority of them. None were particularly spendy either.
I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to visiting your side of the pond. Sometimes just having that to look forward to reminds me that this stupid leg won't be this way forever. Thank you, Gaye, and I hope you are doing wonderfully well ❤️
Hey Cori, I ran across your channel the other night because of your name. My daughters name is also Corri…spelled with the extra “r”. I have so many scraps…what to do…what to do! 😂
LOL! Oh Jamie, if only you knew! Bet folks would run screaming in all directions. But thank you for always being so very kind ❤️
Cori, I always want to see more of what your doing!
This was so helpful and I loved the variety of cards with little pockets, fold downs and reverse sided clear pieces too. Thank you so much.❤
Yeah, what they all said
Wow, how amazing about your upgrade to a Singer Stylist sewing machine.
Wow they have been around since 74?
I've been using it for a few days now and I'm pleased. The Pfaff that I dropped was a notably more spendy machine (my mom had passed it along to me when she got a new machine) but I like this one just as much. I could watch you all day! I look forward to your next video!!
Absolutely love the transparency tags & cards❤️
Thank you, Cindy ❤️
Me too!
Cori. This is a revelation I would of never thought of this. I have scrap and ephemera to a daunting amount as far as I am concerned.
I love that we can inspire each other! Thank you, Sherry 😊

Hey Cori! I'm so amazed you can make videos right now. After each of my knee surgeries, I didn't want to move. Thank you and I hope you're loving the creative process for your Venice journal 😊
Hi! I rarely sit sideways to watch a video. But yours was worth it! TFS! ♥
LOL. Me too. Oy. My editing skills, and clearly, videoing skills, are not the greatest 😁
thanks great ideas 💡👍

I have a collection of enamelware that will NOW find its forever home with my vintage Ephemera! Thanks for the scrappy tour!
WOW, WOW, WOW!!! My first time watching, extremely informative, and loved your whole presentation!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, will be watching!!!

I love how you used the transparencies in these! The flowers look beautiful in them.
Thank you ❤️
So glad you are on the mend. Don’t forget to store your original ephemera in acid free storage 😀
Very wise! Thank you for the reminder 😊

Just found you - will go back and watch all your videos. Great stuff!
Thank you and welcome!
Loved this, I had to grab the flowers as you know and cannot wait to Seth them up. x
And now I'm been cutting down the multi stemmed pieces to use on little projects. One die, many uses. I'm fairly sure I'm in love ❤️😁

I'm really thinking I'll go in that direction. Maybe I'll find a binder that I can easily cover with fabric.... just to make it less school-like 😊
Sending you healing thoughts. Loved seeing all the die cuts and all your ideas. Hope you are feeling more like yourself soon!
Thank you, Sheryl. I now have to force myself to NOT use those beautiful dies on every project 😊
Thank you for so much info and tips. I learned so much in this video!
I'm happy to hear that it has been helpful 😊
Exceptional skills and techniques. I appreciate you sharing with me!❤
It's always my pleasure to share. Thank you 😊
Very pretty cards 🩷 thanks for showing us. Sweet little machine.

You are too kind Valerie, thank you!
oh wow!!!!! these are all amazing, got my pressed flowers out ready, thanks for another wonderful video, hope your knee gets better soon x💕
Thank you, Sue. I've had to step away from the dried flowers as everything I make lately has dried flowers and transparency on it 😁
Great video Cori Love how you have used the flowers. Thanks for your custom too much appreciated. x

I enjoy your videos so much.
Thank you, Lisa. I really appreciate hearing that ❤️
Thank you for this wonderful content 😊
I'm just happy you enjoyed it. Thank you!
Great ideas , thanks for the inspiration
You're very welcome and thank you!
Love them all ❤❤
Thank you, Joan ❤️
You're very organized!
I'm not so great at many things, but organization? That I can do 😊
So many wonderful things to share. Loved the cards you made on video too ❤. As a quilter I sew really fast but on paper I've learned it's better to go slow 😊.
LOL. My quilter friends roll their eyes and laugh at me. I go way too slow for them! Thank you, Evie 😊
Ive been searching for sewing drawers and enamalware 😆. Love those bookmarks
Both are just happy things in my world. Both are old and worn, yet still quite useful. As a bonus, they remind me of my beloved grandmother, who had and used both ❤️
Great ideas❤❤ just subscribed❤❤
Hello and welcome. It's great to have you here and I appreciate your kindness ❤️
Hello Erica and welcome! The Carolinas are beautiful and I'm happy to have you along for the fun 😊
I wondered if you could sometime do a tutorial on your stretched header words. They're great
Stretched header words... thank you, but I'm not sure what you mean? The cursive print in the title?
Beautiful.
Thank you!
Wow such beautiful ideas!! Have you ever used single ply napkin in place of the tissue/vellum? It works beautifully and you can really see the original underneath😊
Yes! And I love that technique. Dang, I need to revisit that again. Soon 😊
Hello Kim and thank you. I used transparency or window film or acetate. It's readily available on Amazon and in office supply stores.
i use a Photo album with different sized pockets for my special ephemra - flip the pages - easy to see - find at thrift shops
Excellent idea! Making an ephemera folder for the old pieces is on my short list! Thank you 😊
Tooks Craft Table just put out some lovely ephemera holders that she makes.
Hi Cori , I just subscribed to your channel. ❤I love your video. Very interesting. 🌺🌸🌺
Thank you and welcome! I hope you find projects here that encourage and inspire you to create ❤️
They have those butterflies on Amazon!
Love all the journal cards, so Beautiful. Where do you get your dried flowers?
Those lovely die cut flowers are from Susan Lanceley at Libradesigns by Susan on Etsy.
I’m sorry to hear about your sewing machine mishap. I agree with the above comment that you need to be bubble-wrapped. I also love your makes and your beautiful notes! Thank you for sharing. Be careful please.
Funny, you must have been chatting with my husband. He has said the same thing, more than once! Thank you, Linda ❤️
Lovely ❤❤
Thank you!
You dropped the sewing machine on your foot?! Cori I think you need to be wrapped in bubble wrap. BTW, You built my dream craft room.🥰
LOL. Maybe white bubble wrap and I can double for the Michelin man 😁
Hey Cori, when did you have y our knee surgery?
Hugs!🥰
Yay, another Cori video! Thanks for sharing and please, be more careful handling your sewing machine. They’re expensive to replace. 😀
LOL! No kidding! The fiasco involved a German Shephard tail, my clumsy hands and slow reflexes. It wasn't pretty 😊
Hi Cori
Love your awesome work!
Lovely
Thank you, June ❤️
Beautiful❤
Thank you! 😊
“Dried, whatever those are, yellow pieces” 😂😂 hahaha I knew what you meant
My flower knowledge is simply staggering 😁
@@CoriDahmen I understood what you meant lol
Did you do a video on the dried flower tags etc.
It wasn't specifically about using dried flowers on tags, but two (I think...) videos back I was making items with dried flowers. Since they were on my desk, and I had shared how I colored the babies breath, I was using the pieces up in this video.
Would love to know where you get the enamel ware, I love it! This video opopped up just in time, I have way too many scraps that are unused. Thanks.
Thank you and yes, I do love scraps. I found the enamelware through a variety of sources. Antique malls and ebay were the source for the vast majority of them. None were particularly spendy either.
If you came to visit you could order lots of UK "stuff" and have it delivered here 😂 Love your lists Cori 😍
LOL! I do so love my scraps. The challenge of using them in different ways is a lot of fun. Hello to Corri as well!
