People forget how great Chris Rock is at his best, arguably one of the greatest comedians of all time. Please do more from Chris Rock.

@F. Tonkonst Definitely top ten but most people forget how great Chris was, because of the praise guys like Kevin hart or Dave Chappelle get. They deserve it, don't get me wrong, but it unfortunately puts Chris at a sometimes forgotten place in the history of comedy.

Chris Rock is an American gem. One of the funniest comics out there.
I was bullied from 3rd grade to 10th grade and I hated my bullies, however I never wished harm on others for what the bullies were doing to me. Until I learned to stand my ground to the bullies by actually talking back and setting things straight that they stopped, some of them even turned out to be my friends, its all about how you react.
A good slap upside the head has cured many a bully.
Same. I befriended a couple of my bullies. One of them is my best friend to this day. There were a couple that I knocked around when I outgrew them and most of the time that puts an end to it pretty quick.
I was bullied too... i didn't take to it too well... became a bully and a complete arsehole. Spent the last 15 years trying to make up for all the rotten shit i did... Bullies can also create bullies and criminals.. i turned into both.

I grew up in rural Wisconsin and was in junior high in the 70's. My friends and I took a gun safety class held at the school after classes. We actually brought our guns to school and kept them in our lockers.

@@FinestSoup I went to high school in Ohio in the early 90s. Half the trucks in the parking lot had rifles or shotguns on window racks. It was common.
@@FinestSoup Shooting rifles used to be part of gym class, and there weren't school shootings.
Now kids are taught guns are toys, all bright colors, or they aren't taught at all. And then we're surprised at the results.
@@FinestSoup He's not joking. I grew up in rural NC and everyone knew how to handle a firearm respectfully. During squirrel season the whole ridge line above our neighborhood would have young people 10-16 years old spaced apart about every 80 yards with single shot .410s or .22 rifles hunting and not an adult in sight. Nobody ever got shot. Accidental or otherwise. We were raised in that culture.
Every pickup truck in the high school parking lot had a gun rack with a rifle or shotgun hanging in it during the fall, including many of the teachers. Our horticulture teacher kept his rifle, shotgun, and a fly fishing rod in his rack pretty much year round. You never worried about people stealing your stuff either. It just didn't happen.
Today I know some 25 year olds that I wouldn't trust to be safe with a BB gun and people will even try to steal trash out of you car. The difference is back in the time of my youth you were taught from the crib to be responsible and were always held accountable for your actions. We weren't taught that we were special. We were taught that we were no better than anyone else and to treat everyone how we wished to be treated ourselves. Kids today are taught they are "special", they act narcissistic and entitled as a result. They think the world "owes" them and to hell with everyone else.

he had said something in a round up that stuck with me for years, which is why I had wanted to get into comedy. And that was, "comedy comes from pain." he had his own show about his childhood which was brilliant. he narrated each episode and the child actor was brilliant as young Chris.

I owned this album, Bigger and Blacker, came out in 1999
That's the way it was when both my daughters and I went to school. The kids who were frequently in trouble had class in the back of the building, they got out early and the bus they rode in was a little one. School shootings were not a thing when my oldest daughter and I attended but started ratcheting up when the youngest started Jr High and I worried about her safety every day until she graduated.

My buddy was told he had to stop wearing his trench-coat around high school after Columbine, 1700 miles away. Super outgoing guy, the school just outlawed trench-coats.
I was at a boarding school in the mountains when Columbine happened, thick, heavy trenchcoats were standard issue. afterwards they kinda switched to thick wool sweaters.

We had a wing of our school dedicated to pissed off kids, they had bullet proof glass for windows. I seen many chairs bounce off of them, you could hear them go nuts. One got loose one day and beat up the gym teacher in front of everyone in the cafeteria.

The bit towards the end with "bullet costing $5,000" practically Is what is going now with the ammunition today. there's a shortage and high demand for guns and ammo. Well its not as bad now, but I remember in its peak in 2020 for a 1,000 rounds of 5.56 was like getting close to $2,000!! and I bought mine before the pandemic for like $300.. But I still think that bit was funny asf, but also kinda eye opening because we might get to that point eventually if shit keeps getting worse and if we keep having crazy lockdowns & shortages..

Lol school shooting just happened last week and the parents are going to jail.
That was here in Michigan and then the next day there were 60 other schools that had to close because of copycats and bogus threats.

3 kids went to jail on murder bc the whole town didn't like that they listened to metal and wore black. They got out, but in the eyes of the law they are still considered murderers, but the state made them sign a thing before they got out that they can't turn around and file a lawsuit against the state for being wrongfully imprisoned... These amazing adults are out and are still advocating to open the case again so they can actually find the real murderers to the boys.

No there have not. There have been 30 this year. Half of those occurred after football/basketball games and not during school. About 20% of the shooters aren't even students. Three of them were accidental discharges.
