I don't see any way that Gine would be weaker than a pre-saiyan Saga Goku. Judging by Raditz losing to Piccilo, which fair in this timeline he wasn't fighting on other world with Raditz. I don't see how Goku could possibly beat Gine who would be at least on par with elite Saiyans like Vegeta if not a little weaker.

Since Kakarot has been training on Earth and also with a stronger Raditz in this story, I decided that Kakarot would surpass Gine, since Gine wouldn't be training because she was on the run from Frieza. If you don't like that logic, then it was more of a story choice. Thanks for dropping in to watch!
