i have heard this song maybe a little over 100 times and i have played the “Daydream” an innumerable amount of times, but hearing this really makes me appreciate the artistry of Mariah Carey. She put in SO much work into every track. The complicated vocal layerings takes me out.
How she did the “young love” background vocals sounded SOOOO similar to how she did her background vocals on “Don’t Stop Funkin 4 Jamaica.” You know the part where she sings “Don’t stop baby.” Those background vocals are very similar to this one.
At 6:26 I’m so happy to finally hear the lower vocal here!!!!! I can hear it in the song but it’s so far in the background I can’t hear the entire run!!!
