I was scheduled for my test this morning, and I got to the test center at 7:30am for my 8:30am PMP test - but the Prometric testing center (1 Penn Plaza in NY) was having AC issues and cancelled all tests for today. Talk about an emotionally distressing situation!! I'm beyond stressed from prepping so hard and having this happen. To make it worse, I have to wait for PMI to give me a new eligibility ID Number in order to re-schedule...so I'll be last in line to get any available slots soon, as it takes a few days for PMI to do this.
Oh dear! So sorry to hear about this Ingrid. I talk about this in a podcast I recorded some days ago about having a "PMP Exam Plan" about dealing with these known unknowns. Be encouraged though - this happened to a student of mine in VA and he had to wait weeks (weather problems) - but he is now a PMP :-) He got to the test center and was turned back. Another student in the UK drove 100+ miles to a city to take the test and was turned back because of technical issues. Anyway he is a PMP now too. Last student story - midway into an exam, there was a powercut but 30 minutes later all was put right and she passed the exam. Don't worry, you will pass. Keep up the momentum and slap the living daylights out of the test! You can do it!
