My heart breaks for you and everyone else that is going to miss this babygirl. This is so heartbreaking. I will keep you all in my prayers. I will never understand how people can be so cruel. Please do whatever you can to keep her memories alive and close to your hearts.
I feel really bad for the father because it is sad that he lost both his wife and daughter just 5 years apart due to gun violence. Rest in peace little girl 🕊️😭

My guess is the usual in situations like this. The corporate media doesn't want people to know that a certain race is more likely to commit violent crimes. There should be a Government funded relocation program, for people with kids who live in the most violent citys around the country.
If you cant afford to leave a town that your kids have a 50/50 chance of making it to 18, those cities government should pay to have those families leave and relocated to a place far away, where those kids have a chance to live, and have a better life, and better education.
By government, you mean taxpayers. I'll pass, if you have no ambition to get out and make something of yourself that's a you problem. There's already tons of resources available. Accountability can't be bought.
@iamlrrrruleroftheplanetomi1799 welfare is a trap, and if welfare was done away with, and if this was a one time deal to relocate kids, and give them a chance at life, I'm all for it. Plus removing welfare and food stamps, would save taxpayers a fortune every year.
@AngryIrishMan it would cost so much, so many would sign up. Where are they gonna go? You let them choose? What happens when the problems just relocate to a new location? You're just putting a bandaid on the problem. You need to clean the wound. Why not take that money and invest it in the community? Police the streets, build something for kids to do rather than getting involved in gangs. It's starts with parents at home not being involved in their kids' lives. My kids play different sports after school, and through the summer, they also don't have or use any social media. We engage with our children and guide them through this life. All kids deserve parents. Not all parents deserve kids.

Oh it must be mental health issues. OK, so HE has a gun. Where is the HELP that the conservatives say these people need? Where are the resources? Why are our children dying this way, over and over and over? There is a darkness on our land.
This is Chicago, with some of the strictest gun laws. A criminal can get a gun regardless, and people with bad intentions are gonna do bad things. You wanna help? Then get educated, arm up, be situationally aware, and be damn ready to protect yourself and the ones you love. I have no doubt this father shot him point blank. No jury would ever convict him. I don't risk my family's safety and neither should anyone else. Guns are not the problem, our society is the problem.

Those who can should, those who can't shouldn't but they do anyway. The 2nd Amendment is available to basic law-abiding citizens. Even some felons should have that right back, depending on prior charges. It's our RIGHT to be able to defend ourselves. I highly suggest you exercise that right.
