To address the flood of illegal robocalls with spoofed numbers, the STI-GA, an industry-led body, has set up the SHAKEN ecosystem so that service providers can obtain the digital certificates they need to sign calls and authenticate caller ID in accordance with the SHAKEN standards.
Now that you’ve joined the ecosystem and obtained your STI certificate, you’re almost ready to sign calls, but you still have some questions. How can I be sure a call should receive A-level attestation? Will A-level attestation guarantee a green checkmark? Will calls with lower levels of attestation be blocked?
