this process can short components on the motherboard, I would receommend removing the motherboard fully before taking the battery out. I found this out the hard way!
Man whats that mess? Never saw in my life someone to just put too much new paste up on old thermal paste, its completely wrong! Clean up first gently then apply the correct amount ( there are alot of methods of applying thermal paste ).

This video is completely worthless, no one should attempt to replace the battery by watching this. The screen is a lamination of components that if accidentally separated by your prying technique could easily ruin the screen.

Dude. You need to clean the thermal paste off the CPU! Rubbing alcohol and a q-tip.
