Dunno why I can't comment on Tia's latest pre-transplant post but I just want to wish her the very best. Love her spirit and sweetness and her awesome hubby, kids, siblings and friends. Sending only positive vibes from South Carolina.
my mom always said the same thing " don't make it fun for the bully" . you react and cry.. that's what they want. You laugh at yourself first.. or turn it around on them.. that's a completely diffretn story. like people would be kind of rude because I physically couldn't do things because of my illness ( kids can be cruel lol) and my mom. and I would practice verbal comebacks for those situations. I remember one kid said " You really suck at kickball " ( which I did) so I responded " I have a pet goldfish". and they just looked at me all confused as I winked and said " sorry.. I thought we were talking about things that didn't matter "
I spoke to my mom the night before she passed. She had massive heart attack in the car with my dad. Totally unexpected I’m so glad I told her I loved her. I’m so glad I did, I was in the hospital just had a major surgery. We made it to the funeral it was hard.
Tia you look absolutely beautiful. I just love your spirit that comes from the Lord. The fact that you have a loving husband who doesn't complain about anything or how tired he is or how the diagnosis of leukemia has hindered you guys intimate life is amazing. I say that because i have Kidney disease and im on a lot of pain and get flareups and my boyfriend feels neglected a lot cause I'm sick a lot so i feel like i have to do things so he won't belittle me and tell me how unsatisfied he is and how as a man he has needs. Then i see how Andy is and i think, i want that in a man. And then when he calms down he tells me he understands what I'm going through and he isnt going to abandon me. Its like he literally forgets what he has said to me and how much what he says hurts me. Like literally he forgets what he has said to me. I just want our relationship to be so grounded in the Lord. But anyway i love you guys and your marriage and Tia is my inspiration. Im just hoping the love i show my bf will be enough for him to be a really Godly man.

Great response on the questions especially bullying and gender. I think you letting that person know that they need to be the best person they are as they are and that's enough. Very cool response. You did great with this advice giving as a couple. You're super great people. I love that about you. Your positivity is contagious. Tia I just want to hug you when you say you miss your mom. It's so sad but you're doing an excellent job of being what your mom clearly wanted you to be. She was proud of you and you have to carry on her lessons and love. It's still very new and it's normal and ok to grieve. I think after the cancer is managed, it'll hit even harder b/c you aren't distracted but I hope you have time to slowly and comfortably grieve some now. You talking about it is good for you and I am glad to hear about your love for your mom and what memories you have with her when you're able to talk about it. I'd love to hear about your childhood growing up someday. For now just stay healthy and chilled and love up all the family goodness you can. Sending love to you and Andy and the kids. I have all kind of struggles, but God has seen me through them all and Andy is right about bullying. Male or female if you ignore them they will shut up its called mirroring. They are seeing in others what they don't like in themselves.

Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9 it addresses being brave and remember that the lord goes before you is also good to think of for bullying. I am so grateful that even though my family is in heaven except for my sister The lord has given me an amazing family through Christ that I so grateful for. Another scripture I love for all situations is For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 I also love these wise words lives with Andy!
What if your family IS the bully? Everybody I know has said that family is so important, but my family is mean.
