Great reaction! Alestorm is the perfect pirate party band. Seeing them live is such a fun experience. It is just one huge sing along. They are touring in the US next month and April. Closest shows to you would probably be Nashville or Pittsburgh. Definitely worth the drive. Most of their songs and videos have a kind of frat party silliness which is loads of fun but this song is a straight forward banger. They really get to show off how good they are as musicians and I love how prominent Patty's voice is in this song. It has been living in my head constantly since it came out. Patty has worked with Alestorm previously playing her hurdy gurdy in Big Ship Little Ship and doing backing vocals in some other songs. For your next Alestorm videos I would recommend P.A.R.T.Y. (very cool animated video), Drink (music video or live), Pirate Metal Drinking Crew, Fannybaws, and Mexico. If you want to go truly juvenile then there is tF..D with Anchor. One of the other fun things they did is that on the special edition of No Graves but the Sea their is a bonus disk where they redid the whole album replacing the vocals with dog barks that had been autotuned. Fans have remade the official videos using the Alestorm for Dogs audio!
"The Last Voyage Of The Demeter" is why I clicked on this song because it seems like a tie-in to the movie but it still makes sense. I'm just loving getting out from under my rock and finding awesome music like this.
Hi Tauri! By your appearance, you loved the presentation! I couldn't follow it through the translator, but a comment above also describes the band! I understood that they presented what you like in a band! Your joy and lightness say it all! Oh and I understand the comparison with a cookie! The most mind-blowing songs in rhythm and happiest in harmony are a show! And your reaction fills us with joy! Take care! 🌷
Yes Christopher is from Scotland but he married a nice American girl and lives in Tennessee now. I do have to say this is exceptional even for them. Surprised me too, those harmonies, the harshes, just the pure energy of it. Love Hurdy gurdys, and Patty's one of the best out there, but her vocals on this blew me away. Great reaction!
Perfect combo, Patty’s vocals together with Alestorm. Always getting in a good mood listening to their music. If u can recommend another band for you. Ben from Feuerschwanz has his own band d’Artagnan. Its pirate/musketeer/folkmetal band. Absolute a fav band of mine. Can recommend Hey Brother, an amazing Avicii cover. And a duet with Zora Cock, My love’s in Germany. 😀
Not their rockiest songs but I have a soft spot for Feste fiern, Tanz in den Mai, Trink mein Freund and C'est la vie (both the English and German versions. Hate to admit it but I think I'm becoming more of a d'Artagnan fan than a Feuerschwant fan
Love your reaction. Just two remarks... First of all, when you watch Alestorm-videos, put on the subtitles. You never know what they write into it. This time you missed out incredible useful information about wood-frogs from Alaska, just in case you ever get there... Second, Patty is currently with Alestorm on Tour in the UK (until March 9). So if anyone wants to see them live together performing this song and a few others... ;)
gotta check out 'Abney park' the song 'Airship pirates' and its album are about a pirate crew that takes over a time traveling dirigible and go pirating through time. steampunk pirates is the theme for a few albums. rumahoy is another good pirate band.
I’m surprise you haven’t check out much Alestorm I have heard a couple there songs they are good sweet Tauri and this is an absolute gem 💎 of a song to
fun fact: Patty Gurdy started her music career in a pirate metal band called Storm Seeker from 2015 to 2018.
Ohhh that's super cool!
I've been listening to both Alestorm and Patty Gurdy for many a year, and this may be my favorite from both.
I just found this song about half an hour ago and it's the best thing I've heard in ages. It makes my heart sing. Amazing!

Thank you for the recommendations!
Saw them when they came through Salt Lake City and I shouted along!!!!! My voice was gone for the next two days
Instantly became one of my favorite Alestorm songs. The chorus is insanely catchy, and Patty was phenomenal.
She really was 🥰
Me too, THE favourite song and one of their best videos too. Yrs Seaman Staines.
One of the best song of the year for moment. And the work for this clip is just phenomenal.

This song is like if Eluveitie was a Pirate Metal Band. I love Alestorm. I also love the hurdy gurdy instrument. Patty was amazing.

I will never get over how awesome her voice is. also Alestorm needs to collab with her more
Patty should be an official member of the band ! Would be a great thing for her AND for Alestorm
A fresh baked cookie of pirate metal, that's how I'll be describing Alestorm to those who haven't had the privilege of knowing them already.
шикарный вокал песня супер 👍🤘

Not "Farewell" with Patty? ;)
That’s also an amazing song 😀

Thank you for the tip, will definitely do that next time!
As metal head I was pretty stoked that this is a thing though

rumahoy is another good pirate band.
Patty should be permanent member of Alestorm. Theres soooo much potential and their voices merge so perfectly
Elliot Vernon is a genius and has epic vocals
If you like Patty Gurdy, you should check out her collaboration with Feuerschwanz - Song of ice and fire.
I love alestorm and I love Patty! Please also check out Harp Twins
There videos never let down🤘
I love cookies 🍪❤😁
Because they are delicious!

To me, Pirate Metal can't ever be represented better than by Running Wild.
The guy with the harsh vocals is actually English. He's the only member of the band that's not Scottish
I dont know that girl name but i know the gurl in the band storm seeker😂
Fun fuct: Alestorm always have some ester eggs hidden in sudtitles
Someone recommended to turn on the subtitles, so will be doing that in the next one!
Definitely required for P.A.R.T.Y.
@@rnowak85 and Battle of Cape Fear River
you need to put the subtitles on trust me !!!!
