    VICTORY not to disrespect you Red, Indian motorcycles died in 1953. But Victory makes one hell of a bike that Indian fenders make it nearly perfect. I first learned to ride on my Uncle's 47 Indian Chief. I inherited that bike last year and next to my 65 Panhead Electraglide, I'll never need another bike.
    That's not saying I won't find and build another, I just don't need anything else.
    Thank You for the show. I'd enjoy a day trip on a Triumph Speed master.
    With Love and Respect, you are in my prayers
    Hoka Hey

      Yes, Indian was bought out quite some time ago, both the manufacturing rights and the name. Polaris bought Indian about 12 years ago, and I haven’t read too much history on Indian previous to that. But they are still made in the USA and I think that says something! I’m happy with my shovel and I think I will always be a Harley girl at heart, but you can’t deny the fact that one of those new Indian chiefs would be a lot of fun to try out haha. I may like Harley’s, but I also really like fun 😆

      Do you really think this matters? "Indian motorcycles died in 1953" If the original company was really good they would have stayed in business. You may as well praise the Norton while you are at it.

    Thank you for the video, Very much enjoyed the tour, Indian has come a long way in the last few years, the best thing they did was start making their own engines, before that they were using S&S engines, but that didn't work out too well for them, because they were dissembling the engines and painting them, and putting them in an oven to bake on the paint, without using torque plates, and it was warping the cylinders, leading to problems like oil leaks and out of round bores !! Thank you again for the tour !!! 😘✌✌

      @@RedRiderCanadaBC they made those from 1999- 2003 it was a company called (CMC)...or (California Motorcycle Compamy) after that they made their own engine...in 2002-2003 they made the Power Plus Engine...that they so called the the Bottle Cap engine because of their head design looking like a bottle cap...that's about all I can remember off top of my head without looking it up...I think the dates are close, But Indian has went through a lot of companies and changes in the last 30 or so years...they now use the Thunder Stroke Engine as you already know !! 😘✌✌

    I try and avoid going into dealerships because I turn into a little kid at Christmas time! I want one of everything lol! I owned and rode Harleys for over twenty years. Then in 2021 I bought a used 2016 Indian Scout. Something about a 1133 cc motor that has a hundred horses and 72 pounds of torque. It's the first bike I've owned that has fuel injection and ABS brakes. That's as modern as I'll ever want or need. Then I got a 03 Bonneville T100 this past July. Now that's my love! Twin carbs, manual choke, air cooled, analog speedo and tach, pea shooter exhausts, and a dream to ride. Thanks for the surprise visit and tour of your local dealership! It's almost spring time! Stay safe up there in your beautiful B.C.!

    My first bike (50 years ago) was that French made Harley 350 sprint. I've had a couple Triumphs and I still love them but I've been on Harleys for over 20 years now. I have to say that when my chopper was down for a complete rebuild I rented an Indian Classic Bagger with 4 miles on it and then I went canyon chasing in Colorado. Unreal power and lean angles and my Brother on an old school evo couldn't get away from me in the twisties. I still flirt with the Triumphs and the Indians but the girl I go home with at night is one of my 2 Harleys. I like your videos, keep this stuff coming.

    Nice review of Indians and Triumphs. I never really looked at other bikes other than Harley Davidson. I did pass up a very nice looking 2019 Indian Chieftain that I saw on the internet that I kind of regret not getting. However, I really do like my 2019 Heritage Softail Classic. It's a lighter bike than the typical touring models, extremely nimble and comfortable and you can take the saddlebags, passenger seat and windshield off to make it look like a Softail Deluxe. I have a 107 cubic inch Milwaukee 8 with a stage II upgrade. The torque on it is unbelievable, and there's plenty of power. I highly recommend it for men and women who like the nostalgic looks of the bike and how much lighter and easier it is to handle than larger bikes.

    Hello Red, I really enjoyed your trip to the dealer. I’m also a huge British Iron lover, are there any Royal Enfield dealers in your area? It’s now an Indian(country) company, but true to its British roots. They’ve developed some beautiful new bikes, but still offer the Bullet model which hasn’t changed since 1952 or 1957(I can’t remember, my bad but I’m sure you get the idea). They’re smaller displacement engines on the Bullets, but they’ve got some awesome larger power plant models to check out. Great video Red, I’d absolutely watch more of these, or anything else for that matter. Stay safe and warm, it’s almost riding season

    My brother and I are like Ford, and Chevy. He is totally about Indian bikes, and I'm totally about Harley-Davidson rides. I'm in the process of selling or trading my Sporster S, I'm now planning to replace it with the Pan America adventure ride; yeah, nearer spring I'll send in my pic for one of your viewers rides video. I kind of drew the line on tech with my dad's '93 Honda Aspencade, it's insanely comfortable, will yank the front wheel without a problem and I've ridden it from a full tank to empty without stopping. I could fall asleep riding it, but that's sort of what I didn't like, I like the noise and vibration of my shovel and I don't mind stopping to take a quick break, besides I smoke so.., lol. But I rode a brand new Honda Wing recently and they're not even motorcycles anymore IMO, aside from having 2 wheels that is. The older I get, the older my bikes are getting it seems, I'm looking to build a knuckle, just an updated EL restomod, maybe in a softail frame, simplicity and reliability outweigh all else for me. And besides, you can't just go to a showroom and buy one, I don't like bellybutton bikes with store bought trinkets that are made to individualize a bike. You know this, you ride a one off bike and it draws more attention than any 60k HD bagger, more fun too! Stay gold, Angel, great vid as usual.

    • @RedRiderCanadaBC
      @RedRiderCanadaBC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea I’m not into the tech either it makes every issue on a vehicle 10 times more annoying lol. And I know what you mean about that, I would take the demo Harleys home, sometimes when I was working there and they were always so quiet, It felt weird to be on them, especially on the highway because I couldn’t hear the sound of a bike over the sound of the wind in my ears lol. I like barebones bikes.

      @@RedRiderCanadaBC And a lot of people don't know that plenty of old car stuff works on HD engines. A 250 Chevy points set works in most big twin HD's. Try and find a TPS or MAF sensor at Pep boys when your brand new fuel injected Road King breaks down and there's no HD shops open, lol. I rode home with a broken throttle cable using my fingers, can't do that with throttle by wire on a new bike. Simplicity has its advantages.

    I happen to own a 2011 Royal Enfield Bullet 500, which once being British owned (now India based), touted the oldest motorcycle company on the market today. There seems to be much pride placed in these longevity claims which I can't really say impresses me that much. But I do like the Bullet as a good putt-putt motorcycle, and I can be proud of it regardless of heritage. But I do admit, there isn't anything close to the 1980 Harley Roadster in my opinion. I've got Loctite as a friend forever!
