Lady what you talking about, I said am from the Caribbean too, irie.. i speaking my mind I never said they cannot cook how they want , I simply said the Caribbean has coconut trees every where and it's heallth to squeeze it fresh then cans, don't u no cans stuff loads of preservatives and that's why we getting sick..... so what the hell u talking about?
Albertha Joseph come on now sis. I have seen him make coconut rice with coconut milk made from scratch. Is not everyday you cook you going to grate or blend coconut. Let’s be honest . I am Jamaican/ Caribbean too and sometimes I use the coconut milk from the can , but I always make sure it’s organic, just like he did in this video. Why do we always have to nit pick.

Wow a lot of comments oh, I love it! I don't think that you will see mine considering this video is a year ago but my mother worked a lot she was single and she didn't really have the time to teach me to cook she did factory work so she worked different shifts quite frequently. I'm just on here to say that I'm grateful the Lord has blessed you with a channel because in this channel I get to learn how to cook! I watched Deddy cook roasted chicken and rice, then mom homily corn and now Deddy steamed fish. My Jamaican roots coming back to me. My grandmother was Jamaican and migrated to Panamá. My parents and us born in Panama. I love and remember ever my grandmother Ms Martha taught us. Thanks to your daughter for sharing you and your wife’s cooking.

I didn't nor anyone not appreciate the "Bond" between she and her Deddy its the "HAND" that's distracting, annoying and obcuring the view. It actually is taking away from the full enjoyment of watching the video. Nine out every Ten comments say the same thing. We love Deddy just not the Hand in the middle of the screen is all!

I have to say I tried this delicious meal and added a twist on it. I fried in one tablespoon of tomato and pepper paste to fry with the onion and habanero pepper. I did not have pumpkin so I used one acorn squash and a medium size sweet potato. Everything else I added and it came out so delicious. I did not add any rice, I enjoyed the fish with the okra and potato abd squash. Thank you for sharing your dad with us. Shalom

I love this version of steamed fish. I have used all of the vegetable ingredients in my version except for the pumpkin and bell peppers. I have never used coconut milk in my steam fish before but I will definitely be doing it the next time.

When I tell you Pop’s did that pot. And, Yes ! I trust the authenticity of his meals. A home cooked meal that’s restaurant certified I would pay for any day of the week seeing all the cleanliness and care that went in to all the ingredients in that pot.. I made this just as instructed last week and it was 👏 AMAZING. THE COCONUT MILK/ CREAM was a REVELATION all by itself. I could barely finish cooking the fish for trying to taste the dang bath the fish was in. Loved it and my family couldn't stay outta the pot.
