Schwerpunkt certainly has a vast knowledge of european history. I also enjoy that his views are traditional. What really annoys me is his bitterness and bashing of 4 th estaters which usually takes up half of his streams. Sure we all know about the state of modern people but as christians who oftentimes converted ourselves out of great misery should strive to be patient with em and to bring out the best of them by setting a good example and educating them instead of just calling for their supression because they are in a low and miserable state. That was certainly not the approach of our church fathers and saints.

I am enjoying the interview, just wanted to mention that the link to scherpunkt's channel in the description currently links to the esoterica channel. EDIT: description link corrected

Just pointing out it's 'Schwerpunkt' and not 'Scherpunkt' (as in the title) or 'Schwerpunk' (as in the description above the link to his channel)

That they do not immediately see totalitarianism and go that produces massive harm and bad social outcomes is very shocking, also it is only for now unstable, but technology progresses so that is sadly not permanent. I guess nobody told them since they grew up conservative. So, correct me if I am wrong but the reason they gave for totalitarianism being bad is that it has been unstable. Which may change, no this will most probably change. The other reason I can reasonably surmise from the video is their care about some inherent supernatural individual quality that humans have which would also clash with authoritarianism and totalitarianism.
Now both of these reasons may change for them. The first one because totalitarianism will probably become stable with future technology and the second may change because there is nothing spiritual in this world, like some inherent supernatural quality of humans, there is no evidence. And if there is no good evidence for anything supernatural then the chance for a change of mind is higher. The logical flaws of spiritual thought and conservative thought strike again I suppose. The point is that they are walking on weak ideological ground.
Military conflict is generally negative. Whilst it may increase spending on research, what produces more resources towards progress than that and more stability for said progress and leave more people to be researching for progress is when more power has come to the people. Because unlike people at the top of power structures who constantly squirm and run around trying to maintain said power structures the people generally spend their time actually doing productive things for society. Take Einstein, war slowed down his research, which helps progress, he had to flee after all. The stability of somewhat liberal Germany and Europe and later the US gave him the chance to create many a wonderful theory and such it is with progress and just knowledge in general. So more power and stability for the people creates good outcomes.
Whilst sure war may create a boost in research if it’s replacing the tops of the power structure's previous view of not being that interested in research, because now research can be used to maintain their power thru for example warfare, hence there is a boost, but give the people power and they will generally want research, they will generally want society to progress because for them society becoming better is not a risk to be mitigated. Unlike for the heads of said power structures, because give the people too much power then you necessarily will have less relative to them. But, progress for society does not come without the people gaining more power in knowledge and/or resources and this poses the risk of them getting and/or gaining/taking even more relative to the tops of power structures. Which the heads of power structures tend to not want. It is not in the interest of maintaining their power, and if type of power is ownership of resources or a currency representing said resources, if it is money then we could call that capital interest.
For example, Elon Musk in the US, he wants to accumulate more power relative to the people and at the cost of the people, he even said the quiet part out loud: that this will cause economic contractions. You see society is going backwards in that way, causing untold suffering, causing so much bad, causing a massive loss of research and progress generally. And, with totalitarianism probably becoming stable in the future lots of stuff needs to be done, lots of stuff needs to get done now, we live in a pivotal time. Whilst the world probably will not end that does not mean it will not get a lot worse. Cheers, thanks for reading, hope you do many, many things, as I plan to do and am doing, do your best no matter what because what else can you do but remember breaks are important, you can learn anything and have a good one, talk never maybe,

To bad his videos are almost unwatchable. Rambling, barely coherent, unscripted rants stained with bitterness and descriptions with no sources. The papism and fascism don't help either

If you cant take information try to divorce it from personal opinion and place it in your world view then maybe history is not for you

I've watched many of his videos and I agree he often goes on long discursive tangents, as he acknowledges in this video. We also talked about his lack of explicit sourcing, which is a product of his Continental historiography and lecture method. But he has many videos with excellent historical content based on primary historical sources he has read and sometimes even translated. He has also corrected errors in academic historical sources.
I agree he's culturally and theologically conservative, but he's not a fascist. We discuss this in the video.

I say this someone who would identify as a fascist and grow up reading history written by communists. I also find it that you think schwerpunkt is a fascist cause if anything i think his views on fascism/ns is my only problem with his worldview.
Regardless facts are facts and theres plenty on his channel

Schwerpunkt is anti-fascist as it itself is collectivistic and anti-traditional.
I personally dislike his take on religion snd the imo weird deification of the Indo-Europeans and their religion
