    Love watching your crew, especially since I do the same type of work and still come home and watch you. A lot of times if I have a little heavier ductless systems condenser I tip the right side of the bracket on the house up a 1/4” to accommodate the heavier compressor side. Over time they can start to drop down. Keep up the great work

    Love ur content mikey! My flaring tool is a rigid that ratchets . We install mistubishi mini splits, love them. Very efficient, effective, quiet, and most important if need be easy to access the control boards for the outdoor unit(heat pump). Fujitsu boards suck to work on, no room and they are upside down. Love watching you and your team. Let's go bosch!!!

    I chose a 9000 btu Fujitsu single zone system to heat my basement and I have been surprised to see it can satisfy my entire condo with a 77 degree set point on my main 2 ton heat pump system thermostat. Also whenever I have trouble getting a good pitch for the drain, Id use a little condensate pump to help do the work. Thank you for feeding the people!

    It is good that you have a performance metric for your installation - that install should be approximately a half day's work for a competent experienced person. It is important to homeowners to get a quality job in a reasonable time which means a reasonable cost.
    And, the equipment should be purchased with a reasonable markup to the homeowner.
    Yes - Spray Foam has some tremendous upsides - insulation and air seal - and it is a rather challenging material to work around when installing heat pumps. Many knowledgeable folk - like yourself - ought work to educate lay people that the windows and insulation are also parts of the mechanical system in your house.

Second always use rectroseal pro fit quick connect socket connectors they do not leak install at outside unit and on wall or floor unit first with a drop of nylog super nice especially up high just mark and insert pipe not flare or torque wrenches.

    I watch most plumbing and mini split installs and repairs. I appreciate your videos and the sharing of your knowledge. I was curious why you ran the line set down the inside wall from one of the indoor units instead of through the wall and down which I'm sure you have a pretty good reason for. I would have looked for a different location for that unit and went through the wall unless it was impossible. You mentioned you should have used three quarter PVC for your drain lines and in reality you should rip out those flex lines and use PVC and should have connected both drain lines in the attic going down to one drain going out of the building. I'm not an HVAC professional but I have some knowledge and experience. I know that on a traditional unit the condensate line needs to have trap water but the mini splits I've worked with don't want any trap water.

  • @1971omi
    @1971omi ปีที่แล้ว

    Use the Black max torque wrench. It stops you from over torquing. Overtime over torquing or under torquing leaks. Also not any flaring block good for HVAC. As you said yellow jacket or Navac or CPS that have Orbital moving which perfectly for flaring.

    Man Mike I just love this stuff a lot, at the company I work for we do a lot of Lennox and Mitsubishi Mini Split installs so this video helps me a lot even though it isn’t the same brand. I got a question, it has nothing to do with this video but what is a Gremlin if I’m spelling that right? Is it used in Air Conditioning, Heating or both. Also something I’m curious about, why on some of the ductless mini splits do they only have a port on the vapor side for the manifold connection? I’m just a student learning the trade, going to school for it and having an early start on the job. Thanks for another great video it’s really appreciated by me and the rest of the subscribers! Thanks!

    38:28 the reading at the pump is I'm sure a correct reading. Understanding how tools work is important. I'd be really interested to see side by side reading with another gauge. The key is the reading will be different the pump is running. I wanna see side by side reading with the pump off.

    I personally don’t like using the red wire for the signal wire. When I first started red always meant blood for electrical. Also triple evacuate is a must for EEV.
