Thanks for this. Just got the form 2s and I was second guessing my choice based on the visibility but there start stop feature is non negotiable so I’ll stick with form.
@@coachjohn my only issue is the visibility.. I wish it was better but overall Im pretty happy with them. I actually really like the head coach workouts.
Forgot to mention that, as I know, only holiswim proposed prescription correction for their googles. No other manufacturers proposed it and when you need it, no choice, only holiswim.
@@coachjohn this is on Holiswim website. They proposed a film to be stick on the googles. It can have -3 to -5 corrections for reasonnable cost. On Form website, they mention no prescription possible. That s big feature for people like me who need googles with prescription.
Hey, thank´s for a good review of these two goggles, I have the Holoswim 2 Pro! About the "autostop" feature, sure that would be nice to have of course, but at the same time no thank´s. If you want a correct pace on every 100m you have to paus it your self every time, Garmin still haven´t solved that problem for some reason?!? I never have had a correct swim on either my Garmin Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar or my Forerunner 965, also swim with my Apple Watch Ultra which is almost every time 100% correct when it comes to measure every 100m distance & pace with autopaus on, they have figure that one out, so big plus to Apple there! Holoswim 2 Pro is also 100% correct measuring distance, pace, 100m intervals etc! Sync Holoswim with Garmin seem to be a big issue as you say, hope for an update there?!? Works 100% on Apple Watch though & you can also see your HR using the Holoswim app on Apple Watch when swimming open water. With the Holoswim 2 Pro you get 9 adjustment parts included too + sun protection & a swim cap!
@andersedstrom4295 i had a beta unit of the 955 while the auto stop was being developed. Trust me it has come a very long way. As with the auto stop on the Form it has been flawless for me. Hitting the stop button yourself is very inconsistent for more novice swimmers. I notice they stop, stand up then hit the stop button. I would like to try the Pro version of the Holoswim but doubt they will send me another pair...
Yes maybe about auto paus?!? As I said I’ve never had a swim with Garmin that been 100% with auto pause! I can do a straight 1000m swim with no stopping & have 3-4 different splits, Apple Watch Ultra measuring correctly & Holoswim 2 Pro too 👍🏻
It's more hardware and software issues. I actually talked to the people at Holowswim. They are marketing a lower cost product...lower cost...less features. I can tell you I haven't used the holoswim since the video and use the form every swim I do.
@Jak835t if you want to use the Form goggles to the 100% full potential you have to pay the subscription...I have form, I use form and pay my subscription for form...and will be getting the version 2 with heart rate if any issues come up with the form 1 that I have
@@coachjohnForm doesn't have any GPS. They require a smartwatch to be running to get GPS data. You maybe saw the file that came from your connected Garmin account in the form app?
I think the Holoswim has a firm foundation and is a good value. Form may be better but costs a lot more. Here is a link to buy a pair amzn.to/45Y6Nkd

I will be picking up a pair of form 2 for my wife.

I didn't see this information at the time of the video.

Form does have some replacement parts for most of the things that might break, but its kind of hard to find on the website
I found this out in the Form page on YT. But I couldn't find them on the site. I was told you have to call.
What is the best ?
I have not even touched the Holoswim since doing the video and always swim with the Form. I ever bought a pair of form for my wife for Christmas
what about holoswim 2 pro? talk about it.. thx
I haven't had the ability to test them. I hear there are some pretty good updates.
@@coachjohn See my comment above please!
were you paid for the review?
I was supplied the haloswim and was given the Form as a Christmas present. When I suggested a VS video Haloswim agreed to my unbiased review.
I bet some of the features from Form that are not in Holoswim are covered by some patents??

I think form do not have a GPS...
They must because they map the OWS swim without being connected to my Garmin and the info is uploaded to strava
