Great video
thanks so much!
What comb is this? And when do you do wide comb, fine comb technique like in the other video?
How do you train them to lay so quietly?
Great question. Start as a baby, short stints (start with less than 5 minutes) make it fun and relaxing!
How often should i be brushing my poodle?
Now, all the pin brushes I find bend so easily and I don’t feel like it would brush efficiently. I have a standard poodle and am new to showing. I use a combs and slicker all over so why do you use a pin brush on the neck and head? And especially during coat change? My boy has a nice coat coming in so it will be a nightmare and he plays with my other dogs outside daily.
Where are you located?? Do you go to shows in the midwest? Thanks.
We're located in BC, Canada. Allison travels to shows all over! If there's something we can help with, please email us at info@leadingedgedogshow.com. Thanks!
Is the dog sedated for this? Or does starting this at a young age desensitize them to grooming?
Olive Branch School wondering the same
Puppies started young come to enjoy a groom session as they become adults. It becomes a routine one on one session. My poodle loves being groomed and lays down to be brushed out. Also, once you start conditioning the coat correctly and brushing weekly, brushing is not a painful event.
I wish my Bishon frise would lay like that to groom him. He is a total butt hole. No groomer will do him.
Is that dog sedated?
NO IS NOT sedated...these are dogs that experince grooming as a normal routine are totally fine and enjoy grooming. Most people can't understnd how calm they are just because they have never groom their dog almost every day since few weeks of being born☺
The dog looks totally sedated.
Not sedated - just trained to be comfortable and relaxed with grooming sessions 🐩
To get that look a dog has to endure all that brushing, no wonder the dog is sedated. I wonder where do you draw the line of animal abuse.
The dog is NOT sedated.
Its trained.
It's called Training 🤦♀️
The poodle is not sedated. She was taught to lay on her side and settle during brushing.
