You have to be extremely diligent when predator proofing all your enclosures. You can't just assume that because you never had a problem, there won't be one. Owners have to do better to protect the animals in their care. It's always a tough lesson, knowing your short fallings led to the death of your pets. Sorry you had to learn this way, but hopefully your animals in the future will benefit from the lesson.
