A retrograde planet represents something one has not completed in former lives and needs to work off that specific duty. Therefor a bigger focus on this planet and energy is also helpful. I think with age and experience you learn to handle that energy.

Struggled to get a job, still no stable job. I sometimes take some short professional courses but later realize I don't even want to work on those jobs. Surrounded by friends who are making money, and they don't understand why I didn't choose a career thay could lead me to a good job. And like you, I also feel it is too late to go back to school and start studying something else

That's 20-30% true in my case having Jupiter and Saturn both retrograde.
In my opinion any planet retro first need to check its speed, how close it to the earth. For example as said by PVR Ji, in case of Saturn or any planet if its about to get direct someone born at that moment will have more positive satvik effects, while a person born during the mid of retrogration more tamsik - Rajsik karma. Now need to check Ishta Fala - Kashta Fala of the planet. If ishta fala(IP) is more comparative to Kashta Fala the planet will bring positive results. Use Jagannath Hora software for that to check speed and IP/KP ratio.
Now how it will bring results will definitely depend upon the overall combinations in birth chart, Since I have more research on Saturn, a person with extremely High IP will see most of the positive results of its signification houses and the lordship. Even in my observation a very high IP also shows positive 3, 7, 10 aspects in the chart.
For example in my case, being my 9th house Saturn 20 degree, for Capricorn Ascendant its true I work a lot, 13-14 hours daily as I want to be better than my previous version. The problem is with normal Saturn people they get satisfied very early whatever they achieve so they might be able to accomplish things very fast but not the best that may be the possible reason for the delayed work completion. So Problem with Saturn retrograde is they work too much as they dont know when they can get achieve the perfection.
Maybe those film directors who launch their films every 4-9 years have similar issue.
Never Had sleep issue, even during my life's most stressful time I slept very well. Though I have Asthma, it got cured automatically but came back in moon Dasha after I got covid.
Same goes to Jupiter, in 10th house, here you are right, my relation before starting my own company with colleagues had good but with manager had bad as I was never satisfied the way she worked. Though had good relationship with higher management.
Plus being in 9th house I have inclination towards the salvation, spirituality and accepted Krishna my guru as I couldn't believe other gurus to help me in my spiritual journey.

@@MICLakVER personally I don't believe in debeliation planet, rather check using jhora software its Ishta phala and than decide. Rahu being in 8th house in most of the cases isn't considered good.
You need to check if 8th house lord is positioned in good houses and saturn being lord of angles or trikona than rahu mein bring a good results.

I have retro Mars in Taurus and really what you said about it is right. My anger just go from 0-1000 in seconds, and it went against me a lot of times. It was like this since childhood but I started bursting out during teenager. But after I started meditation my anger has started reducing. Also I value my relation with my younger brother. Did all his assignments and projects be it school or college. It was stupid.

Although I don't think that's a bad thing, cuz idk if I wanna do this job forever. And I do get tired from working, so I only like working part time.

Retro Jupiter conjunct retro Saturn in 12th house here. Both planets sextile to a degree my Rahu in 10th house. 1) I love to sleep and I sleep like a baby.
2) I used to put energy into other people and it was never appreciated, now I stopped and it took a lot of issues away.
3) I didn’t care for food and with age I became a foodie. Didn’t gain weight, but got high cholesterol.
4) Research can be a black hole to me - can gain a lot of knowledge in a short time just to waist it and forget few days later.
5) Success happens to me as fast as failure. Made a lot of money and lost a lot of money.

A retro planet will ensure that you get it's results. It will make you repeat efforts in it's things. The first 1 or 2 will go towards the pending karma of past life. But next efforts will ensure you get your thing.
No direct planet ensures results. But a retro planet will always ensure results.

I know vedic astrology doesn't deal with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, but I wish it did. The Saturn retrograde was on point. Except for caring for marriage and romantic relationships. And work I've always chosen from interest, experience and curiosity. Sometimes, I'm led to try certain things and other times...it falls in my lap. I have it in my 1st house connected to Sagittarius. 🤷
I've always had issues with sleep, because of bad dreams, psychic abilities, spiritual experiences and etc... Born with asthma and experienced serious sleeping spells, lethargy or insomnia. My Uranus and Neptune is retrograde, as well.

Okay, I have all the qualities of Saturn(R) and Mercury(R) you mentioned. But what can I do about it other than staying calm and happy. I have lots of common sense which I can use for myself at least and just watch the life unfold.
Looks like in India 90% of the grad, post-grad, and Ph.D. holders have Mercury retrograde. They all doing very low-paying jobs due to fewer job opportunities compared to the insane size of the crowd.
When researchers and engineers apply for a peanut paying peon, security guard, sweeper, BPO jobs with a slap of disrespect then you can guess.
India really needs Thanos's snap, especially for those homeless dirt poors who give birth to 10-20 kids and if govt and temples don't show mercy on them then they will die hungry and they are proud of it.

Retro saturn in aries in 7th house. When i was younger in relationships I use to say and do things regarding myself that looking back in hindsight I realize I would be better off not to. I am much more careful now about what i say and do and despite how painful my relationships have been in the past, I learned a lot of lessons im very grateful for because now I know and can do better for the future. The lethargic part is sooo true, however, I can't fall back asleep when i wake up in the morning, my mind doesnt shut up (moon in 3rd house) and i have a lot of energy because other placement in my chart, so I take supplements and eat really healthy to help the lethargic feeling that I get a lot.
