Very interesting video again! Nice to see videos about language learning that are not focused on "in X months", rather in years long processes lol.
I have an unrelated question seeing that you have a daughter, and it's if she's learning Finnish. It would be interesting to see her in the future going back to the place you grew up, tracing back her own roots to Finland! hahaha. I'm from Spain, as is my dad, but my mom is from Japan so I also feel connected to Japan in a sense, but my Japanese is really bad, maybe N5 if i'm lucky. These years-long journeys definitely give me hope. Nice to see that you're not stopping with the language learning process too. I'm born in 1997 so it's interesting to draw parallels and "compare" to the point at which you were in 2011, vs me in 2021.

I hope to be an example of how years of hard work can lead to reaching your goals, not trying tricks to impress people learning faster than most people are able to do.
My daughter has been to Finland, but due to the pandemic the last time we visited was 2019 and she was only 3 years old. Hoping to visit next year and now that she is older, showing all the places I went to when I was her age.

Do you have some tips on how to improve listening comprehension? I'm studying H5-6 too and I can't hear what the natives are saying unless I tell them to REALLY slow down.

First, look into how much time you are putting into listening practise at the moment, does it seem like enough? For focused practise, choose an audio, it could be the textbook audio too. Study the new vocabulary of that section and then listen to the audio without having read the text. Listen and write down key words that you hear. Then listen again and see if you can write down even more words. Repeat until you have a general idea what might be going on, you do not have to understand everything at first. Only slow down the audio if you understand nothing, but remember to come back to regular speed right away.
Another exercises is to listen to an audio and write it down as you hear it, you could write in pinyin or type in characters. If you can do this with listening over and over, do that. If you can not, only then slow down the audio a bit, but with teach practise session, increase the speed gradually until you do not have to slow down anymore.
If you feel comfortable with audio, but not with natives in real life, then proceed to do similar exercises with native content like news on easy topics or tv shows. When listening, first go for the general understanding, do not get stuck in little words that make you forget to listen to the rest.
      加油!
