I did the HSK 7-9 last month was a huge step up from level 6. Agree the reading was tough and not enough time to read all the text, also the listening was difficult because needed to remember content till when questions were asked at the end, i didnt go to the mock exam but i wish i did, will be preparing properly for it next year. May I ask did you pass?
Agree with your experience as well, it is a big step. I got HSK8 last time and will try for level 9 next year. For me I’m focusing on widening my vocabulary on more topics. Luckily now there are more materials for the exam and mock tests too.

I have some questions if you don't mind: Was there anything along the lines of "memorize this text in 10 minutes", like in the writing section in the current HSK6 exam? Also are you able to comment on the vocabulary level needed for the exam?
No, not like in HSK6. In the spoken section you do need good memory or good note-taking skills to remember the 2-3 minutes of audio so that you are able to answer the questions afterward. Vocabulary wise with my HSK6 background there were a lot of words I didn't know, but many of them I could guess based on the context. I would say to concentrate on reading a wide variety of texts and accumulating vocabulary that way rather naturally. Overall comprehension and skills I think are more important than how many characters you know, so I would also use time to improve formal writing and speaking skills.

Been so long since I took HSK 6, so I haven't given HSK 7-9 any thought, but watching your review makes me want to try it out. Thanks for sharing🤗
Same here! But this new exam is giving me new motivation to keep on working that I felt was lacking before. I feel concrete goals work for me well.

I hear the HSK7-9 marks were released today. Did you get yours?
I did! But they didn't release how many points are needed for each level, so waiting on that news before I shoot a video.
