Hey, a fellow English educator in Kagoshima! Welcome! I swear, every ALT in this country is assigned that very same refrigerator. I had the same dish cabinet, too, just a different color. Brings back a lot of memories of those days. But the really important thing is I see your board games there! If you find some board game-inclined folks in your area, point them to this comment. My old group dissolved when everyone moved away. I have a couple dozen games sitting around waiting for new people to play!
absolutely LOVE how you decorated your apartment - the art in your living room is the cutest!! i’m applying to be a JET right now and just finished my interview so now i’m waiting to find out - if i’m lucky enough to get into the program i so hope my apt is as awesome and cute as yours!! good luck w JET!!

My daughter leaves for Gifu City in a month. I hope she has an equally well furnished apartment from a prior ALT. Her predecessor is staying in Gifu City. Where did you get all the organizing and decorative stuff? You mentioned Muji. Do you order stuff on Amazon? Is there a different selection of stuff on Amazon in the Japan compared to the US? Love all your vlogs.
congrats to your daughter! i've gotten most of my furniture from nitori and muji, which i've linked in the description. i also have things from amazon japan, which does have different items than US amazon
i'm planning on making a video about being an ALT! for me, it's mostly about making english fun and supporting my english teachers, as well as sharing about my experiences outside of japan!
