From what people can gather he had a tough life, then spent significant time in prison and while he was in his parents died and his wife divorced and took the kids so when he was released he came home to nothing. So a lot of the pain and anger and shame and guilt that comes out in this song is coming from a very real place.
If I remember right he killed a couple in a hit and run crash and tried to cover it up and served 18yrs. A pretty good reason for being a tad disturbed I would think :)
Being homeless is incredibly hard. Its nobody's choice to "go there in the first place". I walked at least half a mile in his shoes and he speaks the truth in every bar.
If you want more of his backstory you have to check out Norman pain - Sonnet. He's also part of a group called northern boys where they do stuff that's different from this one, i recommend in order "party time" "nobody likes me" "give it to me" and also "s*xy train"
Some lessons you can't learn, no matter how many people experienced it before, or how many stories you've been told. You have to have lived through it. Even though it's a totally different style, this kinda' reminds me of Ren - Hi Ren. They both put their souls on display, and have both lived tough lives (and made it back)❤
Woah! This does feel real!😔 I think someone has already said he’s got a scouse accent(from Liverpool) Everyone deserves to be seen and heard and cared about, every one has their own battles and we don’t know what life has dealt them. Choose to be kind❤️ build each other up and not tear down. We need one another. Hugs and prayers
@@patriciajohnson9654 thank you Patti ❤️ that means a lot. There’s been a lot of sadness about the news today, I can’t even begin to imagine what they are going through. Healing prayers for all are very much needed 🙏❤️
"I don't wanna be loved, I don't wanna feel love, I just wanna feel pain" ... I relate to this. Sometimes we believe we don't deserve love, so when we feel it, we can't receive it and it hurts us. You're right about it being a deception. We want to feel love if we feel we deserve it. I wonder if "pain" has a double meaning - since his name is Norman Pain, he wants to feel his family again.
Lol maybe not the Shindu sesh to start with... Hehe Should definitely consider checking out Pete & Bas's Shindu sesh.. (The recommended one that popped up on the screen after this reaction) Or maybe a better introduction is Pete & Bas - Plugged in w/Fumes the engineer. The shindu sesh is a little bar havy but very good. Tbf most of Pete and Bas stuff is really good. I really want to see you reaction to Pete and bas now. Hehe. And when you do them you'll see why.. Chris... I just want to thank you so freaking much for being way more than a TH-cam reactor for me. I'm sorry for bothering you with all those difficult questions or my stories. I know you said you're OK with that... but I still feel kinda guilty. You're busy enough without my rambling... Love ya! 🤗
Well said Karol!! Couldn’t agree more!🙏 Chris is definitely way way more than a TH-cam reactor!! I know I’m relatively new here but he’s got a special place in my heart too❤He’s made me feel seen. And I love the friends I’m making here, this is like a very caring family. Love you all to bits🤗 I do hope you don’t mind me tagging along with you!! 🥹
Hi Chris, when I first saw the singer I was like, oh… Puddles without his make-up! lol 😂 Always good to see you and hope you and your family are doing well.
I liked your childhood story about glamorizing living in your car. It is funny because before our preferred standard of living goes up, we are okay with the simple things, but once we get an apartment or a home and a nice paying job, we don't want to "move backwards". It only seems like moving backwards, but it's an illusion we develop. I think the stoic philosophers had it right - don't indulge and live simply. If you desire less things, you can be more content with less. It also reminds me of the story of Adam and Eve. They didn't realize they were naked until they ate the apple. It is as if we don't know what the desire feels like until we taste it. Then it is hard to move back to the state we had before without suffering.
I was homeless twice, after i got out of the Army.. it was rough. Nobody really wanted to help. One friend tried. His wife said no. Troed s homeless shelter. It was crowded, and you had to leave during the day.
He’s speaking from experience he did a hit and run and though he could hide it by hiding both the bodies in the trunk and he served 18 years during then his family didn’t visit him and when he got out his parents have already passed away and his wife took the kids and went away without him knowing where they went
norman pains story is pain.. watch his song sonnet, it rely show him strugeling with demons after loosing everything going to jail and trying to find him selv after what he did. sonnet.. i think its a master piece
Could u react to Killing voice It's mainly Korean artists who sings snippets of a few of their songs the channel really shows their personality, versatility & skills. I recommend u to check out Ailee on Killing Voice prob the best female vocalist in Korea, she is so good, think you would enjoy that channel a lot too. There is subtitles too so u get a idea what the lyrics mean
A good song to react to is Haley Reinhart, Slash of Gun's and Rose's, and Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge performing "Wild Horses" by the Rolling Stones. It was a celebration of Mohammed Ali's 70th birthday.
You really should listen to Mimi and Josefin sing Creep on the voice kids. They were 15(piano) and 13(standing) at the time. Harmonies are off the chart.
I mean no offence, watching you is weird for me, you almost have a vibe of one of those old strict misunderstanding christian by the book or your offended type deal, like.... Like thats what you were before, but somewhere along the line you snapped out of it and started wanting to actually understand the world and its people. So personally as someone thats been scarred by religion and especially christianity watching you is actually kinda like therapy. Seeing someone that has the personality of people iv hated in the past, actually taking their time to be understanding and open to everything the world has to offer, the good and the bad, and embracing it all.... If I can, you my sir are a true Christian, if there is a god, I know they'd be proud for having you in their world, because I know im proud existing in the same one as you, so thanks for existing my guy, much love

It's a bit tough, I know. But powerful, that's the right word to describe this song.

I think his point was that many people realise the damage drugs is doing to their lives and their families but continue on the path of destruction
Made me cry 😢
