It's not necessarily rare UNLESS it has the hat. So many of them are missing the hat. To also find packaging or tags is very rare. It has less to do with the number made and more to do with those still intact.

Still, when I got it as a kid I immediately sewed down his mustache and hair and stuffed his hat. It certainly didn't look ugly originally, just a bit unkempt.
It's been a long time since I've seen your channel. How's it been? I used to own the Mario plush seen at 6:07 The mustache never seemed to look right, but mine could talk just fine. He'd say three phrases I believe. Something like," Mama Mia! Brilliant, Mama mia! That was a close one!" and stuff like that.
