Hi im new to turntable..do we need amplifier to play this..or i just need speakers n pkug it in the turntable and all gd to go?? Can advise me on this akai ap001 cz i thought of buying this model..txs in advance..
all cartridges have a recommended weight to apply. Usually between 1.5 and 2 grams. There is also an antiskating adjustment that is needed depending on the type of stylus and weight applied. It essentially counters the natural force that pulls the stylus arm into the centre of the record.
