Thanks Sarah! I really loved the nice little walk you took at the wildlife sanctuary. The sound of the birds was really quite spectacular! You picked them up on your microphone very nicely!

When we had a railway that could think for itself, they probably could have arranged for the one that raced past to stop there. Just in case.

Damn Cancellations! Still you got back to Norwich safely and i've very much enjoyed your latest adventure with of course Superior Sprinters and Fantastic Flirts. Shame you didn't see 412

12:38 Ah yes, a face that all enthusiasts are very familiar with; the impending sound of failure lol

Lovely video, Sarah. Lakenheath is a curious little starion, isn't it? The Fen is worth more exploring I reckon.
By the way, Concrete Bob didn't just build any old stuff from concrete, he built the Glenfinnan Viaduct (heavily featured in some film or other about wizards and whatnot). Although, to be fair, I believe Bob had a little help with the actual building of it.
Also, congratulations on not getting any guns pointed at you for filming the air base. Nicely done 👍

Lakenheath is amazing, really nice to visit such a remote station, and if it wasn't for the wildlife sanctuary it probably would be closed by now. It has changed a little since I vlogged it however, so always nice to see a fresh video on the station. Such a shame the signal box is now gone though 😞

8:04 An hour away from the train station to RAF Lakenheath? Challenge accepted

Probably more if you go through the village.
There are some footpaths across fields but not all of them are easy to find.
      Good luck!

Great video. Since my visit just over a year ago, they’ve added those steps down and the gravel path, and they’ve added the bench to the bus shelter. The information screens weren’t working back then either.
And I had a significantly delayed train leaving Lakenheath so had to replan the rest of the day too.

Oh, and also the tactile paving is new.

Great video, I'm glad I ticked Lakenheath off in the before times. 755413 was probably your train running fast back to Crown Point. You should have checked RTT before leaving the RSPB centre. Don't forget your delay repay!

Makes me wonder if 755413 was your train that got cancelled and ran it empty stock back to Norwich? Great video Sarah and it's a nice location but shame it only gets a Sunday service now
