    Sure, he's not the best at presenting his case, but zooming out, he is still right that we eat wrong, don't exercise, and then take a drug for "maintenance" as a crutch to make us feel like obesity is "not our fault".... so in that way, I support the larger scale point he is making.

    7 minutes into the episode and you can already find false statements, and half-truths. On top of that, the guy is so self-confident, he can do harm to people that do not verify what comes out of his mouth.
    I don't usually comment on your episodes, but this is such an interesting topic (!) it should be done the right way. Like c'mon, did you pick this guy, or is it about him promoting the just-released book?

      Bro they’re not truth bombs. It’s a guy with great delivery sprinkling all the anti-med, anti-pharma talking points. If you’re overweight in America and you see a GP, the first thing they’re going to do is talk to you about diet and exercise. A family medicine resident(at Stanford, ironically) even set up an appointment for me with a nutritionist. The “system” may seem like it’s against diet and exercise and holistic health, but individual practitioners aren’t. The problem is patients wont diet and don’t exercise. So do you let these people rot until they end up in the ER? Or do you medicate them and improve their quality of life?

    During covid I took online Naturopathic classes because I wanted to understand what was going on. This guy is SO right on!! I learned about the 7 foundational things we need to get right in order to stay healthy. (sleep, food, exercise, water, etc.) The rigged systems of pharma, farm, etc. make all of us sicker and poorer. How can that NOT affect any business we start. When we went to France, we felt healthier (like Sam) and we have been on a low carb/keto diet for 25 years. We are in our 60s- no meds at all. BTW I am one of the 4 women who love your show!! I'm married to an entrepreneur and I listen so I can tell him what to do- which is what marriage is all about, right?

    Part of it also has to be the lifestyle. Americans drive literally everywhere and the entire country is built solely for cars. It's not a surprise Europeans and Japanese are much slimmer when they walk or bike everywhere.

    Ain’t feeling this episode…not why I listen to Sam and Shaan. Ironically, I listen to this stuff on the Quest Bar guys channel and Rogan, don’t like hearing this here. Not sure why. Not as bad as the All In Podcast going full MAGA though!!!

    Novo Nordisk is Norse, not Danish. And Kraft hasn’t been owned by Phillip Morris since 2007. Phillip Morris isn’t even Phillip Morris anymore. This guy is passionate but does he know all his facts?
    Also, you just jumped in. No intro as to who he is.

    There is one thing about Ozampic type medications that was not mentioned. Food industry hates it, because people do not eat that much junk food and if most people get on Ozampic type of drugs, Food industry will have very hard time.

      They're one and the same, just a branch of pharma is food industry and that belongs to tobbaco, the whole thing keeping us sick is tied to the things that are supposed to make us healthy is just a flywheel of profit over bad wellbeing

      @togoni 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Joblopz Not exactly. There are some but, big majority of pharma is not in food industry.
