The exposure that Cagayan De Oro, Zamboanga City and the other cities Mark is venturing into these last few days / weeks is AMAZING for the locals. Thanks, Mark! I don't live in the Philippines, but I'm happy to see my people are getting the exposure and attention they deserve.
A US blogger was just abducted and killed in Zamboanga this month. A town councilor was shot and killed yesterday. Between going here and Marawi, Mark is traveling to dangerous places.
@stevem437 what happen to that idiot american is an isolated case..He was insulting the locals days before he was abducted.. he was living there and had a misunderstanding with his neighbors...this region was peaceful for over a decade.

It's so cool for Mark to visit my mother's hometown. I was there way back in 2023 and I had a blast in terms of the different food choices that I don't usually have when I'm in Metro Manila. From sati, tiyula itum, kuracha, to knickerbockers, my foodie heart is very happy. Hoping to go back there again in the future. : )
Hey bro! New subscriber here and my wife is from Jakarta. We've been married for 16 years and I wanted to thank you for your content. As an American, even after 30 years in the restaurant business, I struggled to innovate the food I made for her. She misses her homeland and I do my best so your videos have really helped me be a better husband in the kitchen! You're a good man and I appreciate the work you do.
