Yeah, the triples at S&Sh aint all that big. I had to stay in a motel in Bumfuck Alabama, while doing a Plumbing Re-Model at a grocery store, for 3 weeks once.......There was a Steak n Shake, a Buffet place, and a Longhorns within walking distance......😨

This is so funny. I live an hour from wheeling and this is very accurate. That is the first casino I have ever been to. I remember having to go back to the Denny’s. I need to keep up on the bookings. It’s a shame that I missed this.

I'm originally from there,,,there are nice residential areas far away from downtown but the rest is shit,,,no wonder overdose rates are high.
Kind of mad I couldn't make it to that show to see all this go down, I only live an hour from Wheeling.

Forget it has next to zero talent and if it was under any other leadership he would call it a travesty and an insult to the business. With An airhorn to stop garbage matches early. But Jim got a paycheck and finds no fault with this promotion. If AEW, WWE, New Japan, TNA had that shit Jim would be pissing himself in rage for their mocking the business.

Years ago I worked at a Whirlpool warehouse in Carlisle PA. The guy I worked with had to take a week off to go to a training course somewhere so my boss sent me out with his delivery drivers. We stopped in Wheeling one day to deliver washers or some such to a couple of houses...I still remember thinking how backwards everything looked...

Meeting MR. Cornette was the highlight of my year. He was right about the food place. Before the event I waited 20 minutes for one slice of pizza, and they had 6 people working at 2pm! I saw Cornette walking to the production meeting while I was waiting there, and it had already been 10 plus minutes waiting.

I have spent years complaining about the food and amenities (or lack thereof) at the various casinos in St. Louis. I will never again complain about the quality or availabilty of food in the various casinos of St. Louis. "It could be worse, you could be in Wheeling" will forever be in the back of my mind during late-night poker sessions in the future...
Jim your gambling strategy is the same as what my Grandpa taught me. I'm pushing 40 by the way. Also as a child who moved around a lot, across the country, you were my childhood. Oddly enough I always felt at home whenever I turned on the TV to watch wrestling you were on the shows. This was the 80' and early 90's before cable so being able to enjoy my favorite manager eased always being the new kid.

I lived in a small town pop at least 5,000. The bar on the town square called "Snappers" stop service food at 6pm. Only place in town try to find some action on a Saturday Night unless I drive half hour to the nearest college town pay for a hotel room, and try to press my luck.

Dude, it's a fuckin casino. And shit is closed at 8 or 9 PM. Yeah, that's fucked up. They want you to gamble 24 hours a day, but not offer food or drinks? I dunno what your experience is with casinos (I don't gamble, myself, but have been to several across a few states and even overseas in the military), but, yeah. If anything is closed EVER, it's a shithole.
FWIW I was talking more about him packing up and leaving in the middle of the night more than I was the quality of the casino (which I'm not really qualified to comment on as I'm also not a gambler and have very limited experience with casinos).
In my experience, waiting in the lobby for delivery take out is fairly par for the course with hotels.

I stayed at a hotel in Greenwich, Connecticut and every time my girlfriend and I ordered delivery I had to go get it from the front desk.

Never been to a casino and now I'm glad I haven't 😄
