EXO is not breaking up. It is enlistment time for them. It is common for group members to come out with solo music and even unit sub-groups when they reach the age for enlistment. This is just a way to provide new content to hold the fans over until each member comes back.
haha. I think it's confusing for people who mostly just listen to western music or focus only on 'western' industry. Cuz usually when someone from a group goes solo.. it's because the group they broke up or they went solo permanently. For example, Justin Timberlake, Zayn, Beyonce, etc. While in Kpop... members take break do solo projects, have solo career but still involved with group activities. They can release an album and music several times a year to enable them to do so. While western artists sometimes between 2-4 years takes to release a new album.

EXO aren’t breaking up :) ~ 2 of the Korean members (Xiumin and Kyungsoo) are in the military while another Chinese member (Lay/Yixing) has been working on his solo career in China since debut but more so now due to tensions between China and Korea, though he was part of the Tempo MV. Because of this EXO are 6 members at the moment and so the company are letting the members do more solo work. Jongdae and Baekhyun have debuted as soloists, while another sub-unit EXO-SC (Sehun and Chanyeol) was made and recently just debuted. They will have a group comeback but we’re not sure when, till then they’re doing solo/unit stuff and do have group activities from time to time. Their tour also just started last week Friday 👍

Hannam Dong UN Village is an exclusive area in Seoul. It's military enlistment time for EXO so that's why we are getting more solo projects they aren't splitting up. this is baekhyun’s first solo album but he does have a few single solos 🤗 plus , 한남동 (hannam dong) is a very expensive neighborhood in Seoul where celebrities live in areas like “UN Village” for example
I’m so happy finally see my boy start his solo side debut even with him still being part of EXO, the teasers alone were slaying me and now he’s killing me in every scene with his voice & visuals. From what I get from lyrics, it seems like a love song to his fans which is more like a invitation to EXOLs to come hangout with him in his hometown!

As they can't enlist at the same time due to age difference we won't be seeing the full group together until 2025 I guess. It's like Super Junior all over again. Yeah it sucks but after some time following Kpop you get used to it. Lay is chinese, so he doesn't have to enlist. At least we still can enjoy the solo work from them and the sub units like EXO-SC (Sehun and Chanyeol) that released a few music videos this week (react please!).

You guys are right! The "UN" in UN Village stands for "United Nations". It's part of a neighborhood in Seoul that used to be where all the foreigners lived. Now it's a really expensive area with amazing architecture. Also "U.N. Village" in Korean sounds sort of like (not exactly) someone saying "you 'n me, uh" in English. Notice how he goes back and forth in the lyrics? It's kind of a play on words.

They are just slowly enlisting into the military, (mandatory in South Korea, and you have to enlist before you turn 30) and two of their members ( Xiumin and D O ) are already gone. They are just striking out on their own right now. There is going to come a time when a member or 2 will have to enlist, when the others return. Our Boys ain't going anywhere though. They just have to serve their time for their Country. It happens with all Kpop group members. I expect Suga, and Jin, from BTS will be signing up soon, as They are 26, and 27, respectively.

Well, there's going to be a group comeback before this winter! I wouldn't worry about EXO breaking up- a lot of it has to do with the fact that enlistment has started for them, so the next few years will probably have more solo projects. Two enlisted earlier this year. One more will have to soon. And next year we'll have three going.
